THE VOICE OF BETHEL
REV. HOWARD MINAKER
CHRIST'S TEACHING OR HIMSELF
This is like putting the cart before the horse. If one witre
to eicamine non-Christian religions, like Mohammedanism, Con-
t fuscianism Or Buddhism, he would find doctrines founded on
beliefs, ideas and actions of DEAD men, Their person is of
lesser importance than their teaching.
The Christian religion however centres around the PER-
SON of the Lord Jesus Christ. His INCARNATION --God be-
came man. I Tim. 3:16. His LIFE holy harmless, undefiled,
yet blessing all who were in need. St. John 8:46. His DEATH
—the ransom price, Christsuffered the just for the unjust
that Ile might bring US to God. I Peter 3:18. His RESURREC-
TION the surety for the Christian's resurrection. I Cor 15:22.
It is strangely yet _sadly true that many today ACCEPT
His teaching and believe in. His works and yet are as far from
being true Christians as the east is from the west. In John 3:16
we read "For God so loved the world that He gave His only
