More than 50,000 trees have

Hensall. Ile was believed to have
?been electrocuted. An investiga-
tion is being made.
Flight Cadet Ronald B. Falls of
Ottawa was_ killed when his plane
cra'h-landed in a hay, field on the
farm Of Ed. McMillan, near Blyth,
on Thursday last. Falls Was
thrown clear of the claming wrreck-
age but, was found dead. He was
a student pilot at Centralia air
station. , • '
Two Crediton men were found
unconscious in a motor car which
several hours before had struck a
concrete bridge on the road be-
tween Mount Carmel and No. 4
highway. The car was wrecked
and both boys were seriously. in-
jured. Roy McCurdy, driver of
the car. was taken to Victoria Hos-
pital, London, and the other man,
Rett ,Morrison, to the Exeter hoses'
pita.
Alex. Hildebrandt, 47, of Hen-
sall was killed instantly when he
jumped from a railway jigger into
the way of a gravel truck. The
fatality occurred at the C.N.R.
level crossing a mile and a quarter
siuth of Brucefield. 'Four others
on the jigger escaped injury.
Hildebrandt leaves a wife acid .two
children.' An inquest was held
and after hearing witnesses the
corner's jury found no negligence

OBITUARY
CHARLES H. PASMORE
The death of Charles H. Pas -
More at Chicago Heights, Ill., on
August 14 is announced. Mr.
Pasmore was born in Goderich 79
years ago, son of the late„ John
and Emily Horries Pasmore, and
left here in early manhood to en-
gage in business life in the United
States. He is survived by a son,
George H., of Chicago; a daughter,
Mrs. Emily Gaines, of Scarsdale,
New York, and two brothers, Wil-
liam J., of Chicago Heights, and
Harry C., of Plainfield, New Jersey.
Burial took place at Oak Lawn
cgmetery. Homewood, Ill., on Tues-
day of this week. Mr. Pasmore
was related to the Acheson, Best
and Hamilton families of Gode-
rich, Seaforth and Toy onto re-
spectively.
