their chances for a win Tuesday
night as Jhee Meaford Knights cut
loose in the twelfth Inning to
trounce the Flyers 7-3 .in a post-
poned WOAA Fastball League con-
test. "
A shaky start in the first inning
was one of tae major contributing
factor to the Flyers' downfall as
the Knights ro d ,horse with tub
runs on three ' erieh errors.
From then on, Justice started to

spruced up. Goderich was held
scoreless until the fifth inning,
when Jim Bisset slammed out a
long triple and came home on a
sacrifice by Bob McLean.
In the sixth, Ted McLean and
Charlie Justice reached bases on
singles and -raced home on a Mea-,

scoring for the locals.

EARTHQUAKES ARE SIGNS
"And great earthquakes shall' be in divers places, and famines,
and pestilences; and fearful sights and• great signs shall be
from heaven. Luke 21:11. '.
The .world has been appalled - by the catastrophe that has
befallen three Greek islands. A series of earthquakes- is,,held
as the cause. It is certainly a major tragedy. Many lives were
lost and also much property. -
God's Word declares this is one of the SIGNS that will
precede the return to earth of .)esus Christ.
God is still in control of His Universe. The greatest
reason4or display of His power and judgmen' is to 'stir sinners
"to prepare to meet God."
God's heart is greatly grieved with the indifference to His
warnings by man.
Disregarding Noah's pleas. thousands perished in the
FLOOD of the antediluvians.
Refusing the prophecy of angels, the citizens of Sodom and
Gomorrah 'were burned with fire and brimstone.
Because Nineveh's King and people repented at Jonah's
message . f doom, God spared them in His great mercy.
When Jew and Gentile rejected the claims of Jesus 'Christ,
they 'lane& Hine to a cross. The sun in dismay and constern-
ation refused to. shine. The earth shook in horror and revolt,
at this unprincipled maltreatment of the Son of God.
• • Nevertheless THIS MAN on the centre cross is God's ONLY
DOOR to salvation, His ONLY WAY to everlasting life, the only
ARK of safety, .ROCK in a- weary land and SHELTER in the
time of storm.
The ominous storm bf God's wrath is movingforward.
Only those who are "saved by His blood" can look orward to
His 'coming in MERCY and not in JUDGMENT
