ASIIFIELD, July 22.—The July
meeting of the Ashfield W.M.S.
was held at the home of Mrs, Dun-
can MacKenzie. Mrs, Bixsett was -
in charge of the program and
opened the meeting. The Scrip-
ture lesson and the meditation on
it was given by Mrs. D. A. Mac-
Lean. Anna Robb favored with
a solo. Mrs. Bissett read a letter
written by Ida White, a mission-
ary -nurse in India. The- roll call
was answered with the naive of a
missionary. Mrs. Ewart Jamieson
read from the study- book. Mrs.
D. MacLean gave ,a reading.: Mrs.
John Cowan offered prayer. Mrs.
Wilson, .the president, took charge.
All the business was fully discuss-
ed. Mrs. MacKenzie and' helpers
served a lunch.
Mrs. MacKeith, of Vancouver,
who spent some weeks with rela-
tives here, has returned home.
Charles MacGregor is visiting his
brother, Mr. William MacGregor,
in Alberta.
Mr. and Mrs., Hugh MacKenzie
and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Howes at-
tended the funeral of theirbrother-
in-law, the late Dr. J. 13. Rhodes;
in Toronto last Wednesday.
Mr. and Mts. Ewart 'Jamieson
spent Sunday with their daughter,
Mrs. Whitehead in Teeswater.
Mrs. George Leadbetter, of
Brockville, with her .daughter,
Barbara, is visiting her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Colin MacGregor.
