Supt. Stephenson -took a different view of

A severe storm of sleet, on Saturday,
covered the surface with about two inches
of ice. Until the sun came out warmly,
walking was rendered very dangerous, and
several falls were a result. The small boy
was jubilant as almost any place could be
converted into a coasting and skating rink.
Fainnere, too, who were anxious to take
advantage of the "slipping," came to town
with sleighs and cutters, but returned
home through the mud. It is dangerous
at this season to venture too far from home
with either wheels or runners, as sudden
changes are in order.
A; dry geode merchant and a jeweler
were going home together at the close of
their day's labors, and the former drew
from his vest his handsome watch, and
proceeded to wind it up. "This isn't the
right time of day to do that," said his
friend. "Every watch should be wound

somewhatstartied, and stood still that
the light might approach him. . It came
to within a few rods of the traveller,
and suddenly turning westward made
lightning progress across thefields bury-

Upon certain evenings at nine o'clock
this fetch -light has been seen by various
persons, all of whom declare their sense
of amazement on beholding it. ,Such
lights generally portend death.

Why is it that in other towns and surrounding country
they speak so highly of the Photographs that are taken in
Exeter. And how is it that there are so many Phot's sent
into the different cities of Ontario, from the Exeter Photo

WHY ? Because Senior's work is as good it not better
than any of the leading Galleries in the city ; and their
prices are $4 and $5 per doz., while they get thein at
Senior's for $3.
