Grey county with 6,153 occupied farms is first. Next Domes Simcoe county with 6,7169. In third place is Middlesex county, with 5,777. Hruron is fourth with 5,772 occupied Pawns. Next is Essex county with 5,316 occupied farms. 'At the bottom of the ladder is Kenora with only 551 occupied fame. A total of 61 farms in Huron Daunts sold products during 1951 whose value was $20,000 and over ; the largest single group:, 1,140 farms sold products whose value was be- tween $2,500 and $3,749; value of products sold was less than $�50 in the case of 385 small scale farms; there are 275 part-time farms. Many Acclamations While there have been many ac- clauiations in this year's municipal elections in the county, there have also been change, which will bring several. new members to county council next year. In a light vote at Seaforth on Wednesday of last week, Dr. E. A. McMaster was elected to his third term as mayor when he defeated Councillor A. W. S'illery by 379 votes to 286. All other civic ofbees in Seaforth were filled by acclamation, although it required two nomination meet- ings, when, at the first meeting. no-one qualified for the post of reeve, after veteran Reeve Frank S. Sills announced that he would retire from municipal activities after serving the town for 50 years, 33 years on the fire .brigade and 17 on council, seven of those as reeve. Councillors ...thin W. S.iIlery and B..F. Christie were both nominated for reeve but the former derided to try to unseat Mayor McMaster and the latter' announced that he would retain his seat in council. At the subsequent nomination meeting, Norman Scoins became reeve of Seaforth for 1953 when the only other nominee, Harold Jackson fail- ed to- qualify; , -The six councir seats were filled by acclamation by Keith Sharp, J. C. Crich, R. F. Christie, H. H. Leslie, James P. Scott and Norman Scoins. Other acclamations were D'Orlean Sills as public utilities commissioner, and Dr. P. L. Brady, Clifford Broadfoot and John C. Stevens as public school trustees. Wingham Council At Wingham, DeWitt Biller and Joseph Kerr were elected mayor and deputy -reeve, respectively, by acclamation, while R. E. The need for elections in Exeter was done away with as all offices were filled by acclamation. .
