The gigantic new Niagara de-
velopment is the largest project
undertaken by the Ontario Hydro
to date, and it 'is altra!'ting inter-

almost unique engineering problem

A new Boar Premium Policy
under which Ontario farmers will
reeeiye Government assistance in
the purchase of approved Boars has
been announced by Col. the Hon. '1',
1.. Kennedy, Ontario Minister of
Agriculture. The new policy .pro-
vides that under certain conditions
an Ontario farmer can receive :t
premium amounting to 20 per cent
of the purchase price of the boar,
up to a maximum premium of $25
An.additloual $10 preutluut will he
paid where the' boar is out of a
data qualified •!n Advanced Registry.
To qualify for these premium,
there are several conditions which
trust be met. To begin with the
animals must be purchased at a
consignment isale held under the
auspices • of the Ontario Swine
Breeders Association or of a 1)t,-
triot Swine Breeders' Association
approved by the Minister of Agri-
culture. To be approved the boar
must be inspected. at the sale by a
committee of two persons — one
named by the Ontario Livestock
Co► iiu4etiotser and the othse; by the
'Ontario Swine Breeders' Assocla-
the). The animals must be not less
than six months nor more than
twelve wotrfhs of age, be well de -
'Moped for .its age, typical , of- its
breed .and in good condition. Fur-
ther, its is provided that no boar re-
jected by the committee may be in -
eluded in the auction.
