Chief of Police Joseph "Ferra red of
Clinton gave, evidence that shortly
after midnight, while there was

the door of the clerk's office and

about the floor. Ile said he dis-

cardboard binder and three pack-
ages of stationery. "Nash was

A soil conservation "program cov-
ering 2.15 million ,acres- of arable
land is being prepared by the Israeli
Ministry of Agriculture. It its
hoped that by June the country *ill
be self-sufficient In fodder for live
stock and poultry, which at present

Denies Turning Left

denied he was in the nabit of turn-
ing ,left before making a right-
angled left-hand turn. airs. Free-
man gave evidence that following
the, collision Curtin told her he
hadn't seen her 'husband's car.
Curtin gave evidence that as be
approached the Freeman vehicle,
he' turned ,out to pass it and when
he was about 10 or 15 feet from it,
Freeman swung left about two or
three feet over the centre line.
Curtin denied that he had any con-
versation with Mrs Freeman re-
levant to the facts of the accident.
Cross-questioned by Crown At-
torney 11. Glenn Bays, Q•C., Curtin

ought to be decided on the point of
credibility. IIe said that Curtin's
