Dear Dorothy:

children through accidents.
Deep, down, I feel a guilt for
thiS aa they both have a slight

When the load of life be-
. comes too heavy for our hu-
man weaknesses, it's easy to
turn t feelings of guilt. \
You fear the humiliation
and nonacceptance which you
feel might come to you as a
result of what has happened,
seen in the high part of the m
and n. nkeeps you wondering
which way to turn. To com-
pensate, you hope to attract
attention to yourself in some
noticeable way, indicated in

Your independent . nature, •

according to a set of stand-
ards which are all your ovm.
You find it hard to listen Or to
accept the opiniona or ideas
\ of those ivho might., have a
consoling thought, seen in the
squeezed e loops.
It's hard for you to under-
stand why all this has (hap-
pened .without some visible
signs, seen in the short l's.
Consequently, just plain faith
seems inadequate to you as a
means of relief. By the same
measure, though, you are
finding that to count on your
own resources is really quite
futile, too.
We have to face it. It's upon
courage and spiritual stand-
ards ,that civilization itself
depends for its survival. So if
we, as human beings, are to
gain any consobition and
hope, we have to rely on a
strength far gyeater than
yoUrs or mine.

"Images of ChriStmas", spon-

. Lively scenes, shot in ,and
around the village, on the snowy
slopes, and in a rustic chalet, set
the mood for. a festive portrayal
of Christmas and the many dif-
ferent meanings that it holds for
each of us. The guests are seen .
walking through the woods and
on the slopes of Quebec's scenic
Mont Tremblant, the Trembling
Mountain, as it was known to the
Indians. Old Indian legend has it
that "Manitou, the Indian God of
the Wilderness, in his wrath,
caused the great moimtain to
tremble with tempests and
falling rock when he was aroused
by the infringement of Man on the
sanctity of the wilds and the
animals inhabiting it." •
But, all legends aside, a
peaceful atmosphere was held for
"Images of Christmas", with
traditional songs and carols and
modern musiCal interpretations;
the special aura•of Canada's long
winter evenings; and the won-
drous sights and sounds of the
Christmas season.
