Well, the Ironmen had two easy
wins last weekend over Walker-
ton but things won't be as easy
next ,Week. They play in Port
Elgin on Friday night and in Sun-
day night . action at the local
arena,at 7:30 they put their unde-
feated string on the line when. the
league leading Wiarton Dynamos
are in town. You can rest assured
Wiarton wilt be out to get revenge
for their earlier loss at home at
the hands of the Ironmen. Cer-
tainly looks like a good one with
lots of action — better plan on
catching this exciting ' game at
the Wingham arena at 7:30 Sun-

coach Doug Skinn on the bench,
pinch-hitting while coach George
-Skins sits out a two game suspen-
sion had a rough night in getting
the win, with several of the
HIGH
regulars missing due to weddings
and exams and only one goalie
dressed. Rumor has it that coach
Doug Skinn said mole than one
"Hail Mary" when goalie Doug
Inglis took a hard shot on the
mask and `hit the ice for about
lour minutes, which to coach
Doug seemed like an eternity.
But being the real team man he
is, Doug Inglis stuck right in the
game making spectacular saves.
Gerry Wheeler is certainly
rounding into shape with that
old scoring explosiveness as he
picked un the hat trick. John
Henderson had a big night with
four assists and Don Carter was
right behind John with three
assists. Coach Doug Skinn sure
had problems in this one as
defenceman Rick Foxton was lost
to the line-up• with a dislocated
shoulder, ,
Once again, it was an all-out
effort by,the team that, resulted in •
the win and again it was a strong
third period that made the win
possible. Yes, the Ironmen are on
the move and . providing good,
exciting hockey action.

At the Movies
"Doctor Zhivago", David
Lean's-film of Boris Pasternak's
novel, is,one of the great motion
pictures of our time. Winner of
six Academy Awards and count-
less international honors, the
pictt,lre stars Omar Sharif, Julie
Christie, Geraldine Chaplin, Rod
Steiger, Alec- Guiness, Tom
Courtenay, Shiohban McKenna,
Sir Ralph Richardson and Rita
Tushingham, a cast that truly
reflects the magnificence of
Pasternak's classic.
The novel, "Doctor Zhivago",
although suppressed in Paster-
nak's native Russia, has• been.
hailed ° by ' crittos as a literary -
masterpiece. For it, Pasternak
was awarded the 1958 Nobel Prize
for Literature, but attracted
world-wide attention when he
"voluntarily" renounced the
prize as an alternative to expul-
sion from: the Soviet Union.
The dramatic story of "Doctor
Zhivago" evokes. the . whole ex- -
perience of Russia in the past
fifty years and is presented
through many characters whose
destinies are interwoven.
"Claudine", starring Diahann
Carroll and James Earl Jones
opens Dec. 14 at the Lyceum
Theatre. It is a tough, yet com-
passionate romantic comedy
which examirtes•the problems of
a Black unwed welfare inother as
she attempts to raise her six
children against seemingly in-
surmountable odds. Diahann
Carroll received an Academy
Award nomination for her role as
Claudine. Playing on the same
program with "Claudine" -is
"M.A.S.H.", the black comedy
about -war, which led to the popu-
lar television series of the same
name. Starring are Donald
Sutherland, Elliott Gould and
Sally Kellerman.
Brownie Corner
Despite the unexpected school
holiday, the meeting was held as
usual. The Brownies practised
the routine for enrolment to be
Tleld Dec. 8. They also learned
some folk dances.
During the PowWow, Maureen
Beattie told the girls about
Brownies in ,Ireland. The

their bean seeds are growing.
Each girl must keep a record of
bean growth.
