12:27 the Ironmen werit
on a play seldom seen. As Mark -
dale was fingered • fdr a penalty,
the Ironmen kept control. of ,the -
puck and with the goalie on the
bench it was the man over the
boards to take his place that put a
the puck in the net. Kevin Murray
was the marksman with assists
going to Russel. Jones and Mark
Chisholm ,
In a close checking second
period Markdale tied it un with
the lone goal -of the period, an ice
scorcher by Scott Funston from
just outside _the blueline at 4:54.
The third period, led by Cap-
tain Steve Caslick saw the Iron -
men skate away from the Mark -
dale boys and with a pair of solo
efforts by Steve Caslick and a
goal by John Henderson they had
racked up a,,5-2 win to remain
undefeated at home in regular
season Sunday night action.

WHISTLE STOPS: The Mark -
dale boys, a new entry in the
league, put up a. good game and
time after time their little man,
Al Treton, in the nets kept them
in the game. ,It happend again!
Manager. Doug Skinn attempted
to play "Oh Canada" and when
music failed'to come' manager
Doug waaseen' to wave his hands
like an angry conductor from the
music loft. The Ironmen treated
the home town fans, for the first
time, to their new launching
lyrics of Zisgy, ziggy, ziggy-'
ziggy; CHEAP, CHEAP, CHEAP.
The big man 'in this win was
Steve Caslick. He skated .hard all
night ,picked yup two goals both
unassisted rewards for • second
effort and almost single :handed
wiped out any effort by Markdale
to get a power play goal. The
Ironrnen's bench penalties
zoomed to new heights as. coach
George Skinn wi,'th & al of hh lip•
picked game :lliismeondtict
and an automatic two minute
minor. Kevin Carter missedthe
last period due to an injured
hand.
the night was dished . out by
Murray Black who caught one of
the Mohawks at centre ice,
spinning him from the waist
through at 360 degree circle ' —
just a beauty of a check which
had the home town fans applaud-
ing with pleasure. Three stars for
this game were Steve Caslick,
Doug Leitch and Murray Black.
The Ironmen play in Walkerton
on Friday night and host those
same Walkerton Capitals at the
Ideal arena Sunday night. Game
time 7:30 —.see you there.

received for the honesty with
which it explores the difficulties
of being an independent Woman.
Those who read Kyle Onstott's
best-selling novel, "Mandingo",
will want .to see the movieof the
same name, opening December 7
at the Lyceum.. It is a brutal
depiction of the treatment of
black slaves in the American
'South prior to the Civil War.
Starring are, Janies Mason,
Susan George, Perry King and
Richard Ward.
"Mandingo" is not a film for
the faint of heart. In trying to
show the true nature of the
slavery system, the producers
have included scenes of physical
cruelty and savage violence, as
well as interracial sex. "Man -
dingo" is a shocker!
