Mrs. Johnston died Sunday at Victoria Hospital, London, in 'her 78th year. The former Eli abeth (Bessie) Shiels of Brussels, ..she _was born in Kilburn}, Hllllett Township, on July 1, 1898.:*ger parents were the late Robert Shiels and Annie Eliza Comics. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Wingham United Church and for more thati 25 years, be- longed to the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion. Fall injuries provefatal to Wingham man A fall at the Wingham Armour- ies proved fatal to William Rol- ston Taylor of 87 Victoria Street, Wingham, who died at Victoria Hospital, London, on . Friday, -NoSember 28. He was in his 79th year. ' • Bruce County, Mr. Taylor later moved to the Bluevale area where he. received his education. He farmed until his retirement to Wingham in 1968. He -was a member of the Wingham United Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Larinda Sharpin, formerly of RR 1, Bluevale, whom he married on March 29, 1933, in London; and one sister, Mrs. Thomas (Irene) Steep of Newbury, Ontario. The late William R. Taylor rested at the S. J. Walker Funeral Home, Wingham, where service was conducted by Rev. K. Barry Passmore at two o'clock on Monday. Interment followed in Wroxeter Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Grigg, Raymond Laidlaw, Lyle Steep, Rolston Steep, Bill Galla- her, Wes Paulin. Local resident dies at her home The death occurred • at her home, 683' Josephine Street, Wingham, on Tuesday, Novem- ber 25, of Mrs. Jack Fisher. She was, in her 53rd year and death followed a yearrxlong illness., Mrs. Fisher ins the former Martha Lenore -Smith and was born in Kincardine, a daughter of the late Robert and Melissa May Smith. She received her elemen- tary education in Kincardine and attended the Wingham High School. • She married Mr. Fisher in Sudbury in 1940. He survives, with ten children, Mrs. Herb (Jacqueline) Lee of Sudbury, Murray of Wingham, Mrs. Bryan (Dale)- Martin and . Mrs. Abe (Linda) Haasnoot of Wingham, Mrs. Harold (Shirley) Goll of Mildmay, Don of Belgrave, Glen at home, Mrs. Alvin (Wendy) Goll of Wingham, Debbie, 15, and Laurie, -,14, both at home. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren; six sisters', Mrs. Verna Zettler of Chatsworth, Mrs. Minnie Calver, Acton, Mrs. Roberta Chamney, Wiiighain, Mrs. Ruby Thompson, Scarborough, Mrs. Florence Velacich of Scarborough; Mrs, Clare Proctor of Shelburne; and one brother, Stewart Smith of Kitchener. The late Mg's. Fisher was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. Funeral service was held at the Kingdom Hall at two o'clock on Friday, conducted . by Gran Gollan. Interment followed in Wingham Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Dave Moore, Nicholas Meurs, Joe Velacich, Elwood .Proctor, Jim Thompson and Elwyn Cham- ney.
