the grotip groupabout Social Alio, •
Wraith divided ea
r-
sn's feeingsinto lour groups;
what he knows about himself and
is quite willing to talk to anyone
about; what he knows but is not
willing to talk about; what other
people know about him and do not
talk about; the inner feelings
which he doesn't realize and
others don't know about.
Mr. Wraith asked the members
if they are willing to become in-
volved with others unconditional-
ly and to try to bridge the bar-
riers of mistrust. "We can do
this," he said, `by showing that
we care and are trustworthy, by
sharing problems and talking out
constructive solutions."
Small groups were formed and
each wrote on the outside of her
brown bag her name and ° five
things about herself that she
could easily talk to anyone about.
On the sheet of paper, each wrote
things about herself which she
did not discuss with others. The
paper was placed in the bag and
they discussed what they had
written on the .exterior with
others in the group. Then they
were asked to take only one state-
ment from inside and discuss it
with one other person.
This led to quiet discussion but
no public report was given. The
group Members were left think-
ing of others' inner problems.
Mr. Wraith concluded by say-
ing, "It's your bag. What are you
going to do with it? Can you open
up and discuss its contents with
someone or can you help someone
else by- discussing sympa-
thetically what is in their bag?"
Mr. Wraith was introduced by
