YOUR HANDWRITING TELLS 'T' crossing hints lack of practicality By DOROTHY ST.'JOHN JACKSON Certified Master Graphoanalyst Dear Dorothy: How does one achieve suc- cess in a world where every- one wants to push everyone around? Seems that an aver- age person like me doesn't have a chance to get any- where, while other people have it laid right in their lap. What weaknesses do you see in my writing? DiErouraged Dear Discouraged: To enjoy success, you pay the price. It's a product of work and sacrifice. First of all, you have to know in which direction you are going. Frankly, you don't know what you want to do. Your goals are visionary and lack practicality, seen in the t crossed high above the stem of the letter. You should seek some vocational guidance to know wherein your aptitudes lie. Discipline yourself to take some immediat,$ion. It is '''Your habit to delay, seen in 740 Dear Dorothy: I am going to be married in two months. I was once a con- firmed bachelor, but now I've changed my mind. The girl I'm going to marry seems to answer all my dreams. I hope our marriage will do the same. What should we know before we take the big step? P. K. Dear P. K.: There's no package deal in marriage. There are no dis- counts given and no, free handouts. The joys and fulfillment of marriage have to be earned by the sweat of your brow. The girl you are going to marry has an enthusiastic, light-hearted nature, and she's swept you into some kind of a cloud, seen, partly, in her forward slant and long t crossing. She's a breath of air to your taut and tense personality, seen in your small, pressured writing. Too, just as carried away is she with your serious, intelligent manner. Your handwriting shows hope that you would be a good provider. Too, barring circumstances. you should be a faithful hus- band Basically you're not romantic enough to kick your heels too high You're a head -ruled person, seen in your vertical writing and will, after mar- riage, tend to feel that marrying her gave her plenty of proof that you love her. Your competitive drive to win her will be gone. To take her in your arms each day is just not the texture of your per- sonality. On the other hand, atten- tion and affection are more important to her than any material possessions you could give her, seen in her forward slant and long up- swing word endings. Love and appreciation are her beautifiers, more than any the t crossed to the left, and another day gone is another day wasted. Once you know where you are going, you have to work to get there. You have to kick aside the. stumbling blocks and take the curves when they conn. Right now, you find it hard to cope with- ob- stacles and you give up easily, seen in the very short downstrokes below the line of writing. • Basically, you are wasting a lot of energy finding fault, seen in a combination of the inflexible beginning strokes, the consistent v formations and other strokes. You are wearing yourself out resent- ing the success of others. If you could turn that same ef- fort into action, it is possible for you to be as successful as anyone else. You are plenty intelligentand capable. If he, who has had success handed to him, did not pay for it in desire and effort, you may be sure that someone else did. And success just isn't that rewarding, .when It comes second -handed. cosmetic product or charm school on the market today. She needs plenty of visible signs to satisfy her desires.' So, as you marry, remember that you have many differ- ences. It's understanding these differences that mat- ter D. J. Dear Dorothy: I have the art of making enemies instead of friends. Just when I think I have ac- quired a friendship, it Vis. Why do people who, seemingly, like me, at first, quickly cool off and leave me alone? Lonely Dear Lonely: All of us need periodic checkups to see where we stand in this, sometimes, lonesome world. We need to scrutinize ourselves carefully to see just what we are doing to freeze off what could be the warmth of pleasant friend- ships. Do you talk too much? Do you have that "it's for your own good" kind of tactic? The open tops on your a's and o's are the tattle -tale sign of your talkative nature. Your keen analytical mind, seen in the v formations along the line of writing, has a way of picking people apart — of analyzing them for better or for worse. Does being the center of attention affect you like a shot of adrenalin? The up- swing endings say that you are your perkiest when all eyes and ears are upon you. When you have to sit back and listen, you feel neglected, and it hits you right in the center. It depresses you and makes you wonder why you even try, seen in the drooping endings on d and e• All of us want to be liked.
