Mrs. Gordon McBurney opened
the Meeting with a reference to

s. Alex Robertson gave the
meditation entitled "Be Happy
lie You". Short prayers were
repeated by Mrs. Ronald Coultes,
Mrs. Sydney Thompson, Mrs.
Wilfred Walker, Mrs. Ronald
Jamieson and Mrs. Robert Scott.
The offering was received by
little Michael Lewis and dedi-
cated by Mrs. Peter 'Chandler

Mrs. chard Moore prepared
the study based on a pamphlet by
Norman Vincent Peale, entitled
"How . To Worry Like a Chris-
tian". She stated that a good
percentage of the North Ameri-
can population is afflicted by
fears and anxieties_ She outlined
the causes and also some of the
remedies. A discussion followed.
Mrs. Roy Dawson had charge
of tie business portio of the
meeting. The minutes of the last
meeting were read and approved
and Mrs. Peter Chandler gave
the treasurer's report.
A request was received from
the Hi -C, asking for a donation to
help sponsor a member to attend
the Toc-Alpha conference. It was
moved by Mrs. Richard Moore
and seconded by Mrs. Ken Mason
that $45 be sent to the delegate.

Surprise party
GORRIE - A surprise party
was held by the family in honor of
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Stewart,
(Sharon Groves) on their 15th
wedding anniversary at their
home, Gorrie, RR 2. The couple
have four sons, Michael, Kevin,
Jamie and Peter. During the
evening dancing and cards were
enjoyed by everyone. The cele-
brants were presented with
crystal candleholders and door
chimes. Lunch was then served.
