I have discovered a method of 4dreesing up' the ordinary can of pork and beans into something just a little tastier. Try it . . you'll like it. QUICK HOMEMADE PORK AND BEANS 1 can of pork and beans (20 oz.) 4 tablespoons brown sugar 2 tablespoons vinegar 1 cup ketchup 2 cups water Ya package of bacon (cut up) Combine all ingredients except bacon, and place in a baking dish. Place the cut-up bacon on the top. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees 0-0-0 Deluxe Chocolate Squares is the festive recipe for this week. These squares could almost be mistaken for a candy and for that reason are very popular with the youngsters. The cost of the ingredients does have a strain on the food budget but if you' can shop the specials in the food stores ' between now and Christ- mas you may be able to save a few cents as many of these bak- ing items are featured as specials at this time of year.
