Last • tune the Gazettes went
home to parents, a Parents'
Handbell* went along. This hand-
book has been prepared so that
parents know about school poli-
cies, procedures or items of in-
terest. These are to be kept and
referred to in later years. It in-
cludes Attendance Regulations,
Bus Rules, Study Methods, etc, so
parents referring to these book-
lets will be able to know the
major points of our school. Also
parents will be able to give full
cooperation in helping their child
do his or her best during4their
school years. So parents, be sure
to keep and read these hand-
books. New ones will not be
issued every year.

Radio Dray,
At Howick Central School the
morncnt was tensti in di: ht
classrooms as a box fu lot lames
was being thorough i nire.,
the intercom. Then Mr -
son gave Mr. Cober an g e
piece of paper with a name a. 1
room number on it. Mr. Cober
said ."From room 19, . . Kevin
Stewart." The prize was a Sonya
radio, white and round with a
long band. Each student had his
or her name written on a ballot
for every four $1.00 chocolate
bars that he or she sold. The more
bars you sold, the more chances
you had on the radio.
We believe that Kevin, was
happy with this radio and we
want to congratulate him!

Room 13 Chocolate Party
On Wednesday, September
25th, the classes that received the
chocolate bars were announced.
The classes from grades 1 to 4
and 5 to 8 were sitting on the edge
of their chairs wajtf i' fag those
classes who had won to be an-
nounced. Room 13 and room t8
Were the lucky rooms because
they were the Biasses who had
sold the most chocolate bars -
flown D3 was in the Erni $.1 +e of
French class. For a few minutes
French was all forgotten about
because of the noise. 0Thurs-
day the chocolate bar was
shared. The stude y is received
their share of the chocolate bar
which was taken home to be
eaten.

Top Salesman
Well, finally the Chocolate Sale
over! From each classroom the
Leachers sent in the names of
their top salesman to Mr. Cober
,vho then singled out the winners.
The winner of the Junior Division
v► as James Hinz who sold 35
chocolate bars. Bill Graham and
David Hawoot won in the Senior
Division witl'r25 sales each. Each
of these people received about
two and one-third pound of
yummy chocolate. These pieces
came from a huge seven pound
Hershey Chocolate Bar. Bill was
afraid he'd lose his piece so he
gave it to Mrs. Kirkby to guard,
but she is eyeing it hungrily.
David has his in the back of the
room. Our whole class is trying to
be great friends of these two but
so far they haven't even offered
us any. These lucky guys will be
able to have a Chocolate Party of
their own soon.
