dies in LWOW
Mrs. J. Alex Young of Lucan
passed away In St. Joseph's Hot-
pital, London, on Saturday, Octo-
ber 25, in her 80th year. Death fol-
lowed a brief final Illneos but, she
had been a resident of Extend'.
care Nursing Home in London for
the past four years.
Born in East WawanOsh Town-
ship, Mrs. Young was the Will"
Isabel Wightmafi, daughter of fife
late Mr. and Mrs. William Wight -
man. On November 11, 19251 she
was married to Alex Young,
whereupon they took up resi-
dence in Belgrave where Sandy
operated the local garage. The
family moved in December of
1943 to Lucan where Mrs. Young
was a valued citizen and a faith-
ful member of Lucan United
Church.

Besides her hushand, Mrs.
Young is survived by four daugh-
ters and three sons: Mrs. Charles
(Elizabeth) Corbett of RR 2,
Ailsa Craig, Mrs. Ross (Mar-
guerite) McRoberts of RR. 1,
Lucan, Mrs. Donald (Doris)
Hodgins of Ilderton, Mrs. Robert
(Elva) Coates of London, Donal
Young of Waterloo, James Young
of Lucan, John Young of Sudbury.
She is also survived by one sister,
Mrs. Ross (Elizabeth) King of
Wingham; 23 grandchildren and
one great-grandchild. She was
predeceased by one son, Forrest,
in 1935; also by three brothers
and one sister, Rennie Wight -
man, Leslie Wightman, Norman
Wightman and Mrs.. J. 4.
(Grace) MacDonald.
The funeral service was held
Monday, October 27, from the C.
Haskett and Son Funeral Home,
Lucan, with Rev. Ewart Madden
of Lucan and Rev. Clifford Park
of London officiating. Interment
followed in St. James' Cemetery,
Clandeboye.
Pallbearers were six grand-
sons, William Young, Bare
Young, Jeffrey Young, Thotiihs
Hodgins, James Hodgins" and
Michael Hodgins.
