gowns were styled with long
seeves, empire waistlines and
softly gathered bodices. The at-
tendnts carried bouquets of yel-
low and bronze daisies, ivy and
baby's brath, accented with yel-
low streamers.
Norman MacLennan of Water-
loo was best man and guests were
ushered by Neil Proctor of St.
atharines, Randy Wingfield and
Gerald Skinn of Wingham. The
male attendants wore black tuxe-
dos, white shirts trimmed with
black ruffles and white carnation
boutonnieres.
Ranton Place, Palmerston,
was decorated in rust and yellow
for the reception which followed,
„attended by friends and relatives
from Fonthill, Hamilton, St.
Catharines, Port Colborne,
Waterloo and surrounding areas.
The bride's mother wore a
floor -length gown of coffee -color-
ed jersey in a shirtwaist style.
Her accessories were chocolate
brown and she wore a corsage of
rust mums. The groom's
mother's floor -length gown was
of polyester print trimmed with •
shrimp -colored polyester and
was styled with long sleeves. Her
corsage was white carnations.

and .yellow boucle knit suit in the
new at -the -knee length_ Her ac-
cessories were black.
Mr. and Mrs. Skinn are resid-
ing at 242 Inkerman Street, Apt
15, Listowel. The groom, a grad-
uate of the University of Water-
loo, has accepted a position with
MacGillvary and Company,
Chartered Accountants, List-
owel.
Sr. citizens
hold meeting
The Wingliam Senior Citizens
held their meeting last Tuesday,
Oct. 14, with good attendance.
Reuben Appleby was in the r hair
and Mrs. Sewers was the pinist.
A nominating committee was
elected at the meeting to consist
of Mrs_ Conn, Mrs. Bone and tbs.
Jardine.
The entertainment of the eve-
ning fa tm-ed Miss Lavonne Bal:
lagh with two lovely songs; a
reading by Jean Aitcheson; and a
paper on Thanksgiving ,delivered
by Mrs. Bos. Mrs. Pennington
conducted a musical contest won
by Agnes Williamson. A game of
cards followed, and the meeting
ended with lunch.
The next fun night for the
Senior Citizens will be Ot. 30.

Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor -
length gown of white nylon sheer
with attached train. The dress
was styled with long sleeves,
empire waistline and square
neckline. A nylon sheer frill,
accented with heavy lace trim,
formed a V from the bodice to the
hemline and similar lace formal
a V on the sheer sleeves. A small
headpiece held her two-tiered
nylon shoulder -length sweep veil
and she carried a white velvet -
covered prayer book with Sweet-
heart roses, stephanotis, lilac and
blue dried flowers.
Maid of honor was l'illiss Connie
Slosser of Wingham. Her floor -
length sleeveless gown of lilac
polyester satin ,featured a scoop
neckline and was topped by a
long-sleeved jacket in variegated
mauves and blues. She carried a
brown wicker basket containing
bunny tails, star flowers, straw
flowers and baby's breath.

as the congregation of the Wing -
ham Baptist Church worshipped
at morning and evening services
on Sunday. Among the numbers

favorites.
Pastor Ross Smith chose as his
morning scripture portions of
Paul's second letter to the Corin -
Mins, chapter 11. He spoke of
the false teachers who ID Paul's
absene, brought the people into
bondage and caused them to ob-

chiffon. The empire -styled bodice
featured a V neckline with orna-
ment insert and threequarter-
length fluted flared sleeves. lier
corsage was white Sweetheart
roses.
The groom's mother chose a
floor -length gown of royal blue
doubleknit with long -sleeves,
empire waistline and V neckline
with ornament insert. A corsage
of pink SWeetheart roses com-
pleted her ensertible.
