Fanshawe College ,School of
Nursing, Victoria Campus, Lon-
don. The graduation ceremony
was held at Alumni Hall, Uni-
versity of Western Ontario, Lon-
don. ,
Visitors on Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Elroy Laidlaw were Mr.
and Mrs. Lorne Diann and Mr.
and Mrs. Joe Ducharme of
Goderich who also visited at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter El-
liott.
Starting kindergarten from the
village were Tony Falconer, Dale
Jamieson and Kimberley Laid-
law.
Brian Rintoul attended Toronto
Exhibition on Tuesday and was
joined there by Kimberley Rin-
toul who returned to Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Rintoul's with him. On
Monday Carol, Kimberley and
Debbie accompanied grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley
Black, to Orangeville Fair where
they met their parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Leroy Rintoul, and returned
home with them.
Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Rintoul of
Tottenham spent Saturday night
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Gordon Rintoul, and on Sunday
went to Strat, , oy to judge beef
cattle.
Gayle and Brian Rintoul at-
tended Orangeville Fair on Mon-
day where Brian exhibited cattle.
Dr. James Little and Mrs.
Tattle of Lucknow were Monday
visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Car-
avan Whytock and Jack.
Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart of
Blyth were Saturday visitors with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. : ob
Adams, and family.
Visitors with Mrs. Tom Inglis,
Tom and Betty were Mr. and
Mrs. John Inglis of Ottawa and
Mack Inglis of Highgate.
Alex Inglis last vieek returned
to Westminster Hospital and
expects to return home this week.
As one drove along the highway
on Tuesday morning, one easily
realized that school has re-
opened. Big yellow buses were all
over the countryside. One could
easily notice the first -tuners., the
kindergarten children, standing
at the gates and corner$,, all
shined up and trying to remem-
ber the last instructions given
before leaving home.
Congratulations to Mr. and
Mrs. John Adams on the arrival
of a baby girl at Windsor hospital
on August 26.
Graham Kay left for British
Columbia last Wednesday where
he will enter university.

Wendy arrived home Monday
evening from their week's holi-
day in Northern Ontario and
Ottawa.

Whitechurch Women's Institute,
with the theme Public Relations,
will be held in the Community,
Memorial Hall on September 8 at
8:30. The hostess is Mrs. William
Rintoul; roll call, a keepsake, I
intend to pass oh to my family
and its history; motto, "Living a
life is More than making a liv-
ing", Mrs. Rintoul; topic
speaker ; music, a singsong of old
favorites; contests; lunch, Mrs.
Don Ross, Mrs. William Gibson,
Mrs. John- A. Currie.
Church services at Chalmers
Presbyterian Church on Sept., 7
will be Sunday School at 10 a.m.,
church service at 11:15 a.m. with
Bev. Kay in charge.
