Higgins, who recently com- menced farming on the farm which he purchased of Mr. John Dew, in the 4th concession of T_Tsborne, has sustained serious loss and discouragement, in the death of a valuable thoroughbred Clycleso dale mare. Coleman, of Sea - forth, was stricken with paralysis on the train coming from Toronto. On arrivin at Stratford, Mr. Tiffin had hirn remove to his office and sent for a physician, who had him removed to the American house. He was taken home on the evening train. The colonel has many friends here who will be sorry to hear of his affliction. The word received from Seaforth since is to the effect that he is no better, and doubt is felt7ae to his recovery. The re -opening of the Main-st Methodist church will take place on Sunday and Monday, NOV. 24th and 25th. On Sunday sermons will be preached by the Rev W. McDonagh of London, and Rev. J.
