and Son Funeral Home, with Rev.
K. Barry Passmore officiating.

Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Pym,
John Pym, Donald Py*, Richard
Pym, Bill Rae, and Gerald' God -
bolt. Floral tributes were carried
by Gordon Leggatt, Wilfrid Con -
gram, Fred McGee and Nelson

MERKLEY — Passed away
suddenly in Windsor on Thurs-
day, June 19, Murray Merkley,
dearly loved son of Elmer and
Anna Merkley, in his 15th year.
The late Murray Merkley
rested at the Marcotte Funeral
Home in Windsor. Funeral ser-
vice and interment took place
in Windsor on Monday. Surviv-
ing, besides his parents, are
one brother, Dean; two sisters,
Joanne and Janice; his matern-
al grandparents, Mr. and .Mrs: , 0
Harry Miller of Teeswater;
paternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. William Merkley of
Wingham. The Elmer Merkley
family resided in Wingham
several years ago.

residents' favorite religious num-

tions with Mrs. Valkenburg
expressing rho appreciation Of
the residents -
Forty -four members of the
Blyth Senior Citizens' Club
visited the fame on Monday and
after dinner joined in the old
tyme music and sing song pro-
gram with Administrator Mr.
Archibald welcoming the guests
and officially opening the week.
The Goderich Township Women's
Institute volunteers • and Mrs.
Hulley assisted with activities
and Mrs. Molly Cox, Mrs. Drivers
and Norman Speir provided the
music. Cookies and lemonade
were provided by the kitchen
staff and served by the volun-
teers.
The Bayfield and Exeter Senior
Citizens' Club provided the Tues-
day Family Night program. The
74 Club members visited their
friends during the afternoon and
had supper •- in the dining room.
The program included instru-
mentals, vocal duets, selections
by an Exeter men's chorus, read-
ings and a sing=a-long.
Fifty-two members of the
Friendship Club of Brussels,
travelling by bus and car, were
our guests on Wednesday after-
noon. After dinner the visitors
gathered in the auditorium for
games with .25 tables playing
euchre, five hundred • and cro-
kinole. Mrs. Evans of Brussels
received the prize for the eldest
lady playing games and Jim Mc-
Donald won the men's prize.
The Clinton Club visited” the
home on Thursday afternoon for
dinner and joined the Goderich
Club ` to provide the program in
the auditorium with Rev.
Youm-atoff -leading -a sing -along
accompanied by Mrs. Parker.
The program included vocal
solos, step dances,* readings,

Jim Gowland, who presented the plaque, called John "a
cross between Robert Stanfield and Eddie Shack." John
plans to attend Centralia College of Agricultural Tech-
nology in the fall to earn a degree in agricultural business
