BOYS' TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPS were: front, Dale Whitfield, midget boys; Dave

BASKETBALL AWARDS went to: Darrell Anderson, most improved player, junior boys;
Greg Simpell, most valuable player, junior boys; Ken Tervit, most improved player,
midget boys. Missing from the picture is David Gamble, most valuable player, midget
boys.
THE McKIBBON TROPHY for athletes is perhaps the most
covetted award of the year at the F. E. MadilFSecondary
School. Winners for 1975 were Sandy Orien and Bruce
Jermyn.
AWARD WINNERS in the boys' gymnast group 'were: Andy Heim, most valuable
gymnast, junior boys; Kevin Stewart, dost improved gymnast, senior boys; Frances
Mahe, most valuable gymnast, senior boys; David Ritter, most improved gymnast, junior
boys.
SENIOR BOYS' BASKETBALL STARS for the year were: front ,4 Ralph and Roger
Morrison, most improved players; back,, Rene Caskanette and Ray Nicholson, most
valuable players.

UNDERSTANDING IS NOT a field event, but there was an•
athletic trophy for this virtue nevertheless. Tom Shore was
presented with an award Monday night for being the "most
,, understanding coach" at F. E. Madill. The award was pre -

player, senior girls; Sheri Phair, most improved player, junior girls; Jane McPherson,
most valuable player, senior girls; Kendra Mac Donald, most valuable player, junior
girls.
GIRLS' CHAMPS in track and field events were: front, Twyla Dickson, junior girls;

MURRAY HUNTER was named "outstanding coach of the
year" for Madill at the athletic banquet Monday night. Mr.
Hunter has acted as coach for track and field events, the
cross country team and the junior basketball team.
A trip I won't forget
BELGRAVE — At 7:26 Mr.

We found them at the first line

11:00 and went through the build-
ings with the rain falling on our
hem. The rain stopped and we
ate our lunch at Brock's Adores-
ment but we couldn't climb it for
the steps were wet. So we toured

thing we were at the falls getting

We then travelled to the Skyl.on
Tower. It was quite different
from what I had expected: To

We visited the Ponderosa Steak
Rouse for supper and left for
home about 6:30 after we back
tracked to the Bells once more.
