Clinton Christian Reformed
Church at the. regular Sunday
evening song service. Mr. and
Mr. Beukema will be greatly
missed at the Home as they have
been very active in many ways
during the past years. Mrs. Beu-
kema has been organist for the
song services this year with Dick

Monday's program. The Chris-
tian Reformed volunteers as-
sisted with activities and Mrs.
Scott was honoured on her 95th
birthday with a special number

The adopted grandmothers of
the Clinton Kinette Club were in-
vited to a smorgasbord dinner on
Tuesday evening at .the Clinton
Public School. Thirty-four resi-
dents took advantage of the out-
ing
uting and an report a lovely dinner
followed by a program.
The Festival City Rhythm
Band of Stratford entertained on
Family .Night. The band was
formed last year under the
leadership. of Mrs. Helen Ebel
and has 20 members, all senior
citizens with a great deal of musi-
cal talent. There are three vio-
linists, an accordion player • and
guitarist with other members
playing cymbals, triangles and
piano accompaniment. Eight of
the band members danced the
French minuet and square dance,
another member doing, a take -off
on three Al Jolson numbers. Mrs.
Bessie Elliott thanked the enter-
tainers inviting them to come
again whenever possible.

countryside and the smell of
pretty flowers permeating the
warm air, about 150 people
thronged to the local community
hall on. Thursday evening of last
week.
"May Flowers", an evening
sponsored by the Women's Insti-
tute, featured `flowers' --real,
artificial, captured in the beauty
of fihn and transposed onto
fabric.
Miss Rena Jouwsma gave a
demonstration on floral arrange-
ment and Mrs. Dorothy McGee of
Wroxeter demonstrated making
artificial Howes icom bread
dough. Len McGregor, assistant
agricultural representative for
Huron County, presented a film
entitled "Beautiful Possibili-
ties".
The Institute sold house and
garden plants and flowered
aprons.
Lunch was served at the close -
of an enjoyable evening amid the
beauty of nature and friendships.
