ham boys lost the game but outhit

Hitting well for Wingham was
Ed Deichert with four, Edwards
and Foulon with three each and
Weiwood, Bruce Foxton, Case -
more and Dick Eskerod with two
each. Eskerod hit a long triple to
score two runs in the four -run
rally.

Doidge _from Exeter and Jim
Graham from Witygham. The day
ended with a dinner at Turrabe rry
Tavern.

BALL SEASON
The ball season is nearly 'un-
derway into schedules, , and we
still do not have a Bantam,coach.
Is your boy of Bantam age? Why
would you not spend some time
for his sake,•with the team? Give
him and his pals a break.
WADING POOL
Investigation is going on re-
garding the building .of a wading
pool. The Kinsmen Club is seri-
ously considering this project. In-
.formation should be forthcoming
within the next couple of weeks as,
to the outcome of this project. It
looks promising thus far. The
new facility is planned to be built
next tothe present pool. It will be
used for instruction' for the little
ones as well as a wading pool.
LACROSSE
The boys have been working
out for lacrosse very diligently.
Last Thursday just after the
hockey awards' night the juve-
niles hosted Kincardine in an
exhibition game and, being the
perfect , hosts, let Kincardine
away'. a -4 whin. However,

GARDEN CLUB
DONNYBROOK — The first
meeting of the summer project
for the Auburn 2 4-H Garden Club
was held at the home of the
leader, Mrs. Edward Robinson.
Roll call was answered by
signing the registration sheet.
The election of officers followed.
Results were: President, Debbie
Jefferson; vice president, Mary
Ellen Foran; secretary, floating;
treasurer, Margaret Foran; -
press reporter, Ellen Thompson;
telephone girl, Mary Ellen
Foran.
The leader discussed with the
girls the kind of vegetables
needed and, the amount. The
questions were answered in the
club book and Debbie Jefferson
closed the meeting.
