Mrs. Ciertrude Amanda Scott of
330 Josephine Street, Wingham,'
died Tuesday, May 6, in the
Wingham and District Hospital
following a lengthy illness. She
was in her 62nd year.
Born and educated in Wing -
ham, M+Irs. Scott was the former
Gertrude Amanda Deyell, a
daughter of the late Robert and
Jessie Deyell. She was' married 4'
on November 23, 1932, in Wing -
ham, and her husband prede-
ceased her.
She was a member of the Bap-
tist Church.
The late Mrs. Scott rested at
the S. J. Walker Funeral Home
where service was conducted
May 9 at two o'clock by Rev. Hus-
sey. Interme,yt followed in Lang-
side Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gordon God -
kin, Ted Whitby, Albert Kitchen,
Fred. Saint, Russell Sewers and
Russell Archer. - Flower bearers
were Ray Archer, Albert Corbet
and Ralph Saint.
Surviving are five daughters,
Mrs. Lorne (Jessie) Archer, of
Hensall, Mrs. Harvey (Marjorie)
Payne of Molesworth, Barbara of
Toronto, Mrs. Bernie (Barbara)
Baker and Judith, both of Wing -
ham ; three sons, Walter of Luck -
now, Charlie of Winnipeg, Mani-
toba, and Douglas of - Toronto;
and 20 grandchildren.
MAINTENANCE CRAFTSMEN
This Board is about to embark on a preventative maintenance
program on the twenty nine schools under its jurisdiction. To
get this program started we have an immediate requirement
for three maintenance craftsmen as per the following:
1. CARPENTER -MASON * minimum of 10 years
experience in the trade.
2. ELECTRICIAN -with a valid "Construction and °'
Maintenance" certificate and a minimum of
10 years experience in the trade.
3. PLUMBER-STEAMFITTER - with a minimum of
10 years commercial boiler experience in
the trade. -
