The meeting opened in the usual manner and everyone was welcomed by the president, Mrs. J. Winkel. The devotions; were taken by Mrs. Holger Fel Skov, the theme being Easter. Mrs. Stan Bride gave the motto, "You can't go on being a good egg, you must hatch or go bad." A thank you card from Kaye Brown was read. Roll call was answered by payment of fees. Dr. Tim Kilo is pest speaker FORDWICH—The April Thankoffering meeting of the Anglican Church Women of Trinity Church was held Thurs- day evening. Ladies from Kurtz- ville and Fordwich United Churches and St. Stephen's, Gor- rie, were invited as guests. The meeting opened with a missionary hymn, "From Greenlands Icy Mountain". De- votions were taken from the Liv- ing Message; "Choosing a Proper Diet", read by Mrs. Don King, Mrs. J. W. Daunt, president, introduced the guest speaker, Dr. Tim Kulu and expressed greet- ings to his wife Doris. Dr. Kiilu is director of academic programs at Renison College at the Univer- sity of Waterloo, a member of The World Mission Committee of The Anglican Church of Canada and a consultant to National Council of Churches. He chose as his topic, "The Growth of The Church in Africa." Mrs. W. Sothern, on behalf of all, thanked Dr. Kulu and presented him with a gift. Rev. W. B. Parker led in the closing prayers and refresh- ments were served and a social hour spent. WI EUCHRE FORD ' `--The Women's Institute sponsored a euchre party in aid of the community hall on Friday evening. Twenty- six tables were in play. r The high lady was Mrs. George Pittendreigh; low lady, Mrs. Elva Jacques; high gent, Clinton Roneyford; low gent, Herb Phil- pott; specials, Albert Hall and Warren Zurbrigg.
