Klaas and Jenny and family Ann O'Hara King Ann King passed av�iy peace- fully at her home in Teeswater, Monday, April 21, 1975, in her 25th year. Left to mourn her passing are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George King; four sisters, Patty and Mary of London, Julianne and Helen at home and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Joseph Brophy of Wingham. Despite her infirmity, Ann was possessed of a patient, cheerful disposition and was an inspira- tion to her many friends. She was an ardent sports fan. She rested at the MacPherson Funeral Home, Teeswater, until Wednesday, April 23, thence to Sacred Heart Church where Funeral Mass was concelebrated by Rev. L. Ryan and Rev. J. Gillen. Rev. T. Mulhall, parish priest, was present in the sanc- tuary. Soloist at the Mass was Jerry Cassidy of Walkerton. Lectors were Patrick Dunne of Walkerton and Gus ' Renzetti, Teeswa ter . Pallbearers were Francis Schiestel, Robert King, David Millen and Bill McDonald, all of Teeswater, Richard Kennedy of Kitchener 'and Michael White of Walkerton. Flowers were carried by Joseph White of Vbalkcrton arid Joseph Brophy of Wingham. Temporary entombment took place al Teeswater Cemetery Chapel. Mrs. Norman Shackleton of Belgrave, RR 1, died Sunday, April 20, at Wingham and District Hospital, following a lengthy ill- ness. She was in her 92nd year. She was the former Elizabeth Ann Finlay and was born on a farm near Port Albert, July 18, 1883. Her parents were Ashfield pioneers, the late Robert Henry Finlay and Rebecca Roach. On the death of the father, the family moved to Lucknow where Eliza- beth received her education. She married Norman Shackle- ton of the 9th concession of Ash- field. They resided on a farm there for 43 years and were members of Blake's United Church,. Ashfield. An infant daughter, Margaret, died in 1916. Mr Shackleton died in 1949 and since -that time Mrs. Shackleton had lived with her daughter on a farm near Bel - grave. She is survived by one son, W. Finlay Shackleton of Caledon, Ontario and one daughter, Mrs. Walter (Alice) Scott, Belgrave; six grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren and one brother, Samuel Finlay of Fillmore, Sask. She was predeceased by two brothers, Richard and William of Saskatchewan and two sisters, Alice of Toronto and Ida of Wind- sor. The late Mrs. Shackleton rested at the R. A. Currie and Son Funeral Home, Wingham, where Rev. John Roberts of Knox United Church, Belgrave, con- ducted the funeral service Tues- day afternoon, April 22 at 3:15 p.m. with temporary ent mb- 'inent in Wingharn Chapel.
