"SO WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL?" seems to be the question in the eyes of man's best friends
as they pose in front of ribbons they have won in several Ontario field trials this past
winter. The retrievers are Goldie, owned by John Lennox of Sarnia and trained and han-
dled by Don Dodds of Dawnflight Kennels and Game Farm, RR 2, Teeswater; Lady,
owned by Lloyd Burrow of Hanover; Tom (Bryon Fritz of Palmerston); Sam (Ken Thom-
son of Kincardine) and Kanaka, also owned by Mr. Fritz. The dogs and their owners get
together every Saturday at the Dodds' farm for group trakning sessions. Mr. Dodds assists
the owners and does some professional handling with the above dogs. With spring In the
air, the owners are anxiously awaiting a decision from the Ministry of Natural Resources
on the possibility of making a water area available at the Hullett Conservation Area In
order that the efficient training of quality dogs.can continue.
