REAVIE—Wilfred C., in Chula
Vista, California, on April 5,
in his 68th year. He was a na-
tive of Ripley, Ontario. He is
survived by his wife, Lucille;
one son Van of San Diego, Cali-
fornia ; and one daughter
(Doreen) Mrs. James Boylan
of Bakersfield, California; also
two brothers, Jack of Wingham
and Fred of Powell River, B.C.
He was predeceased by two
brothers, Alvin and Ruther-
ford, and one sister Margaret
Jean. The funeral was held in
Chula Vista on Tuesday, April
8.

dies in
A well-known resident of the
village of Lucknow and a busl-
nessman there for several years,
William C. Johnstone died Tues-
day, April 1, at the Wingham and i
District Hospital following a
lengthy illness. He waS in his 48th
year.
Born in Minneapolis, Min-
nesota, Mr. Johnstone was a son
of the late Russell Johnstone and
May Caird. He came to Lucknow
at an early age and resided in.the
village all his life. For many
years he operated a funeral and
furniture business. About four
years ago, he relinquished the O
funeral business to Robert
MacKenzie and continued as
owner of the furniture business
now being operated by his son.
Mr. Johnstone was a member
of Old Light Lodge, Lucknow, and
served as a town fireman for
many years.
Surviving are his wife, the
former Beth Brydges; three sons,
Kenneth, Allan and Tom; and one
daughter Eleanor all of Lucknow.
Also surviving are two grandchil-
dren and one sister, Mrs. Jack
(Jane) Treleaven all of Lucknow.
He was predeceased by _one
brother Donald.
The late William ' Johnstone
rested at the MacKenzie Memo-
rial Chapel until Saturday when 0
funeral service was held at two
o'clock, conducted by Rev.
George Garratt of St. Peter's
Anglican Church, Lucknow.
Temporary emtombment took
place in South Kinloss
Mausoleum with the final resting
place to be South Kinloss Ceme-
tery.
