Miss Linda Robinson of Guelph spent last weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne binson. Mrs. Murray Edgar returned home after visiting Mr. and Mrs. George Cameron of Stoney Creek, accommying John and Allan Cameron who spent the weekend here. Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler had charge of the worship service, "Show Jesus His Hands". A hymn was sung and Mrs. George Michie read scripture. Mrs. John Roberts led in prayer. Following the singing of another hymn, the offering was received. Mrs. Murray Lougheed con- ducted the business. Minutes were read and adopted. It was decided to buy 200 packages of hasti-notes. Mrs. Cliff Logan was in charge of the program on "The Changing World for the Eastern Cree In- dians". The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Wheeler. Belgrave Miss Marjorie Procter of Sarnia spent a few days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Procter. The Eater meeting of the W. I. will be held in the W. I. Hall on Tuesday, April 15 at 8:15 p.m. The conveners are the members of the executive. Roll call is "An improvement I would like to see in the Belgrave W. I." This is also the annual meeting when the dis- trict president, Mrs. Donald Haines, will be present and will conduct the election and installa- tion of officers for 1975-76. R. #1, Kincardine 519-395-5286 CHOOSEY CHIC S DONNYBROOK — The fourth meeting of the 4-H Choosy Chicks was held at the home of the leader, Mrs. Edward Robinson. The meeting opened with the 4-H pledge and Margaret Foran read the minutes of the last meeting and had roll call. Discussion was what to put on covers and names for the exhibit. "Blouses Are Versatile" was chosen for the exhibit. There was a quiz on sewing. Mrs. Robinson demon- strated taylor tacking. The fifth meeting was held at the home of Joyce Chamney. Debbie Jefferson opened the meeting and - Mary Ellen Foran read the minutes and had roll call. Joyce Chamney had the pictures on the covers finished. The exhibit was ' discussed. Doreen Jefferson and Diane Leddy demonstrated staystitch- ing. Mrs. Robinson demonstrated how to make button holes by hand. At the sixth meeting Debbie Jefferson opened with the pledge, read the minutes and had roll call. Discussion was on fashion show ideas, exhibit for the fash- ion show with each girl to make up her own comentary of one minute on style, fabric and fash- ion accessories. Mrs. Robinson discussed making darts and seam facings. Diane Leddy and Ellen Thotpson 'demonstrated making the darts. 0-0-0 SCISSORS WIZARDS GORRIE — The third meeting of the Gorrie I, 4-H Club was held at the ' home of Mrs. William Bennett at 9:30 a.m. on March 29. The roll call was answered by seven girls. Brenda 'Bennett read the minutes. Mrs. Raymond Gowdy showed how to do a tailor's tack and Kathy Bennett showed how to mark a dart using a tracing wheel and paper. Kathy Bennett also demonstrated placing the pattern on her material and cut- ting it out. Brenda Thornton demon- strated a flat felled seam. Each girl is to do a sample of a flat felled Aeam for her book. Jdtnna Gowdy told how she preshrunk her material. Mrs. Gowdy demonstrated two ways of alter- ing a pattern.
