Langside area resident dies in hospital Funeral service was held Sun- day at three o'clock at the Lang - side Presbyterian Church for Peter deBoer of RR 2, Teeswater. Beverly Kay -conducted the service and interment followed in Teeswater Cemetery. The Mac- Pherson Funeral Chapel, Tees - water, was in charge of arrange- ments. Honorary pallbearers were Elmer Scott, Wallace Weirsma and Philip Steer. Active pall- bearers were Robert Bregman, Arnold Scott, Jim Young, Peter Scheurwater, Gerry Vander - Klippe and Dave Moffat. Floral tributes were carried by Janet deBoer, Frances Logtenberg and Helen Weirsma. Peter deBoer died in the Wing - ham and District Hospital on Thursday, March 20, in his 50th year. Born in Holland, he was a son of Mrs. Simon deBoer of Lucknow and the late Mr. deBoer who predeceased his son on May 25 of last year. Peter deBoer re- sided near Langside, in Kinloss Township, where he farmed for several years. He was a member of the Langside Presbyterian Church where he served as elder. Surviving, besides his mother, are his wife, the former Roelofje (Roely) Meijeringh; three sons, Simon, John and Fred, and three daughters, Nancy, Hilda and Jo- anne, all at home. Also surviving are four brothers, John of Kinloss Township, Dick of Turnberry, Ieme of Holland and Wim of Wes( Wawanosh; and two sisters, Mrs. Hank (Pietie) Kragt of British Columbia and Mrs. Dirk (Tinie) Logtenberg of Ashfield Town- ship.
