Resurrection hope stressed at Chalmers WMS meeting WHITECHURCH — The glorious message of the resurrec- tion was the topic given- by Mrs. Victor Emerson when the Chal- mers Women's Missionary Society met at -her home at two o'clock on the afternoon of Wed- nesday, March 19. Mrs. Emerson reflected on the three-year ministry of Jesus, when He spoke words of salva- tion, comfort, assurance and victory. She . spoke of Jesus' second coming when our bodies will be fashioned like unto His glorious body. "What will the resurrected bodies be like?", she said, "Paul told the Corinthians they will not be flesh and blood. In Matthew's Gospel, we read that in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage but are as angels of God in heaven." - • "Easter brings a reassurance' that God is real, that He lives and His Hand is on the helm of the universe," she said. In closing, the speaker urged her listeners to follow the Lord, though it may mean sacrifice. "May we nevem crucify Jesus by not attending church, never giving to missionary appeal, being indifferent or neglectful, unwillingness to change your little part of the world or cowardly silence," she said. The president, Mrs. William Rintoul, opened the meeting with a thought for Easter. An Easter hymn was sung with Mrs. An- drew Gaunt accompanying.
