Mr. and Mrs. Don Coghlin at-
tended the 40th wedding an-
niversary of Mr. and Mrs. Art
Hewitt in Listowel Orange Hall.
Jim Warrell had the misfortune
to fall from the house roof. He
was taken to hospital in Walker-
ton where x-rays showed no
broken bones, just some bruises.
The Brownies and Guides, ac-
companied by their leaders, went
on a bus trip on Saturday to Casa
Loma in Toronto and the Guide
Centre.
Mrs. Eva H.: rris spent a couple
of days this week with Mr. and
Mrs. Knapp in Listowel.
Mrs. Lyle Simmons and Mfrs.
Ken Kaye and ,Murray visited
Saturday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred
Hambly in Listowel.
The first Fordwich Cubs,
Brownies and Guides and their
leaders attended church service
in a group at the United Church
on Sunday morning.
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Austin and
family off Tillsonburg were Sun-
day visitors with Mrs. Pearl
Patterson.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stewart
visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs.
Oliver Stewart at Gorrie.
Mr. and Mrs. Stan Bride re-
turned home over the weekend
after spending the past two
months in Florida.
The sympathy of the com-
munity goes to Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Doig in the death last
week of the l;=, tter's sister, Miss
Irene ; utchart of Clifford.
Mr. and Mrs. Lang Vegan and
Mrs. Eva Harris visited Friday
with Mr. and Mrs. Les Watkins at
olton.
Carroll Johnson and Stewart
Douglas attended the Good Roads
convention Monday and Tuesday
of this week at the Royal York
Hotel, Toronto.
Rev. and Mrs. Charles Forrest
returned home over the weekend
after enjoying a two weeks' holi-
day in Florida.
Mrs. Florence Wilson visited a
couple of days last week with Mr.
and Mrs. John Dunbar at
Orangeville.
Mrs. Ida Gallagher was able to
return to the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Mary McClement
at Listowel after being confined
to Listowel- Memorial Hospital
for seYeral weeks as the, result of
a fall.
The Tren Nein Inn in Caxn-
bridge was the setting for a. sur-
prise birthday party on February
12 for Mrs. Pearl Patterson of
Fordwich. All members of her
family were in attendance from
Mississauga, Rexdale, Cam-
bridge, Tillsonburg and Bramp-
ton.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Miller and
family spent Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Dan Bowman in
Elmira.
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Galbraith of
Guelph were Sunday guests with
Mrs. Verna Galbraith and Mrs.
Elsie Strong.
Weekend guests with Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Connell were Mr.
and Mrs. Keith Duncan, Stephen
and Kimberly of Brampton.
