Everyone enjoys a circus, and
the Wingham Figure Skating
Club's presentation of "Circus on
Ice" was no exception. The en-
thusiastic skaters performed
before a near capacity crowd at
the arena Saturday night.
The program started with a
roar as six little tots made their
way onto the ice in their lion cos-
tumes. Blaine McKittrick, Sheryl
Hanula, Jeffrey Mann, Dwight
Chambers, Steven Thynne and
Terry Deer certainly captured
audience attention as they
anxiously awaited for their cues
and 'miss -cues'.
No circus is complete without
popcorn sellers, and they were on
hand Saturday night as well.

Atoms Icse
to Mitchell
The Wingham Atoms lost a
close game to Mitchell last Satur-
day to the score of 2-0. The boys
gave it their best effort but just
couldn't' find the range to get a
score mounted. This was the
fourth game of the best of three
series to register a winner for the
OMHA playdowns.
The Wingham lads deserve a
lot of credit for the way. they
finally went down to defeat arid
were 'really very close to taking it
all when they actually out -seared
their opponents 13-12 in the four
game series.

the entire performance was the

It takes much time and effort
from not only the skaters in-
volved in, a performance such as
the '.'Circus on Ice", but from the
executive and club professionals
as well. Without them the twenty-
third annual carnival of the
Wingham Figure Skating Club
would not have been possible. It
was a great success!
