Nov 21, a group of actors from the Huron Country .' Playhouse carneto Howick Central School to perform a play entitled, "My Best Friend is Twelve Feet Tall". There ~Were. five actors in au . and judging from the thunderous response they did very well. The show' lasted for about an hour and ten minutes and students were allowed to ask questions after- wards. They had practised for a week and all . studied acting, before. The performance itself was very humerous and poetry turned into songs made_ in- teresting. , Folloiking the performatice the nq- a0oE4i4cterl nve workshops with a similar numberofgroups of Gr. 3 and 4 students. The actors had the students act out different situations, discussed many aspects of acting and using the imagination. We hope the time spent with these students helped improve their ability to drama- tize. . We all wish that they could come back again for everyone enjoyed it very much,, —Barb Zwanck MUSIC NIGHT AT LISTOWEL On Tuesday, November 26 the boys and girls Senior Choir of Howick attended the Listowel District Secondary School for their annual music night. The students left on two bus t 7:15 and returned betwee 0: I I : nd 10:15. We were honored to sing this event although many o ' s were a bit nervous about tting up and singing ' in front of ap- proximately 500 people. We felt we were ready however, for this challenge. Central School and is proud of it! . —Gary Douglas FAIR MONEY The fair money was given. to. each student who won prizes at the annual Howick Fall Fair. The highest amounts of money were awarded to Donald Hislop, Vivid McCaughan and Karen Mc- Michael. Most of the students who entered material in the fair did win a prize. I am sure Mr. Robertson is pleased with the effort given by the students.
