'Imre were three contestants at Ripley. The first and second prize winners meet the winners from the other Bruce Districts at Paisley Sep- tember 20. The judged at "Ripley were Mrs. Sutherland, Rich Einwechter and Mrs. Gilchrist. Mrs. Dave Ireland, Bruce South District President, and Mrs. McCormick, representative of the Safety Council, had charge of the meeting. The speakers were Miss Morris, Miss Meyers and Robert Sutton. Mr. and Mrs. Matheson of British Columbia on Thursday visited with their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Hector MacDonald of Elora, and called on Mr. and Mrs. Victor Emerson. Mrs. Mathe- son's parents resided on the farm • now owned by Bud Sutton. Victor Emerson took them to see where I 1 their relatives lived so Mrs. Matheson could take pictures.. Young People's Society of ingaide and Whitechurch was invited by Mr. and Mrs. Beverley. Kay to a social evening on Saturday night at the manse. Here they enjoyed a wiener, corn and marshmallow roast outside. Inside they had a singsong. The next meeting will be Sunday evening, September 22, at 8:30 at the manse when they will make plans for future meetings. There were about 18 present On Wednesday M3 . and Mrs. Victor Emerson were at Walkerton, Mrs. Emerson at- tended a curators' workshop sponsored by Solway W.I. branch who invited Bruce East District branch curators to attend. There were 16 present. Mrs. R. C. Walker, provincial curator for Ontario, conducted the workshop and gave a very interesting in- w'hor� Mr. who. structive review of the MAW: Joe Tiffin , and Joanlie. coinpanied his mother, Mrs.. Elizabeth Tiffin, on Tuesday to London for a checkup. Mrs. Gordon Rintoul and Gsyle on Sunday afternoon visited with Mrs. Jim Curran •of St. He. Athol Purdon visited a couple of days last week with Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mowbray. He returned home on Thursday to Sarnia accompanied by Mr. and Mrs Wesley Tiffin, Mrs. Gam.
