Brenda a Jane Glousher of
teen, Sask., chose a prin-
of peau de sore for her
'marriage to James T. .Smart,
erlso of Saskatoon, on Friday,
September 6, at 4:30 o'clock. The
gown was styled with round neck-
line, long cuffed sleeves, and a
train trimmed with white daisies.
Two rows of daisies also adorned
the front of the gown. A Juliet
headpiece held her daisy -edged
floor -length veil of nylon and she
carried a bouquet of pink rose-
buds and white daisies.
Rev. Eric Le Drew of Brussels
united ate couple in marriage in
the Blueva1e United Church. Mrs.
Glenn Johnston was organist.
Parents of the bride are Mr.
and Mrs. John T. Glousher of RR
4, Wingham. The groom is the son
• of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry
Smart of Battleford, Saskat-
chewan. Mr. Glousher gave his
daughter in marriage.
The bride was preceded down
the -aisle by her maid of honor,
Miss PatriciaCasemore of Wing -
ham, and her bridesmaids; Miss
Mary Pace of RR 1, Ripley, and
Miss Barbara Glousher, sister of
the bride. They were dressed
alike in floor -length gowns of
flowered blue nylon lined with

MOLESWORTH — Mrs. Mel-
ville Dennis was hostess to the
Women's Missionary Society for
its September meeting with 15
members present. Mrs. Lloyd
',Felker, president, Opened with a
poem.
Mis. William Smith was in
charge of the program with the
theme "Visitation of the Sick and
Aged". Five posters drama-
tically illustrated these people
withthe last poster an invitation,
"PLEASE Come°Again'a'.
The, hymn, "What a Friend We
Have in Jesus", was sung, Psalm
23 was read and prayer was of-
fered:

assisted with the program. Mrs.
'S&nith closed with a poem, "A
Gift". -
• Arrangements were made for
.the fall Thankoffering which will
be held in •Molesworth Church on
October. 13 at 8 p.m. with .Miss
Louise Rickard the guest
speaker. Miss Rickard._ is a
missionary home on furlough
powder blue polyester crepe and
styled with round necklines and
empirr waistlines. They wore
wide -brimmed white nylon hats
and carried white daisies.
Leisa Heimpel and David
Heimpel of Wroxeter, were flower
girl and ring bearer. They were
dressed in powder blue crimp-
plene trimmed with dark blue
velvet. The flower girl carried a
basket of white daisies.
Groomsmap was Donald Bur-
ley of Wingham and guests were
ushered to the pews by Glenn
Casemore, the bride's uncle, of
RR 4, Wingham, and Gordon
Sayers of Saskatoon.
Dinner was served in the
church basement followed by a
reception in the Wingham Legion
Hall. The bride's mother chose a
gown of powder blue and white
polyester and lace with a corsage
of pink carnations.
A light blue pantsuit with navy
topstitching and a black blouse
were chosen by the .bride as she
left on a honeymoon which was to
take Ahem to British Columbia
and the northern states. On their
return they will reside at 417 27th
Street W., Saskatoon.
The bride is a graduate of
„hosts meeting

from Japan. All are welcome to
attend this service.
Mrs. Rbbert Arbuckle of
Wingham, Supply Secretary of
the Maitland Presbyterial, spoke
on supplies.
Mrs. William Willoughby and
Mrs. L. Felker assisted the
hostess with lunch and a social
time was enjoyed.

Il Club met in the F. E. Madill
Secondary School for their first
session of the new season. Their
project,`. "The Club Gish: Enter-

jects from flower arranging to
checkerboard sandwiches.
Of the 11 members, three are
new to 4-H.
Heather Currie was elected
president and Marilyn Congram
is vice-president.
Achievement Day wasdiscuss-
ed, then each girl made a floral
arrangement with the various
flowers from home gardens.

Honored guests were Mr. and
Mrs. Milo Casemore, grand-
parents of the bride, and Mrs.
Jack Glousher of Goderich, great
aunt of the bride. Mrs. James
Casemore of RR 4, Wingham,
made the wedding cake.

shower last Thursday evening
when about 20 friends and, nelgh-
bors gathered to honor MSS
Joanne Sutcliffe.
A social time was enjoyed by
all m attendapce and lunch. Was
served. The guest of honor was
assisted in opening her lovely, and
useful gifts, by her mother, Mrs.
Gordon Sutcliffe, and her future
mother-in-law, Mrs. Douglas
McPherson of Teeswater.
Miss Sutcliffe's marriage to
Jack McPherson takes place on
October 5.

ing a honeymoon trip to the East
Coast and parts of the United

seven o'clock.
Mrs. Hueston is the former
Bonnie Mountain of St. Marys,
daughter Qf Mr: and Mrs. Robert
W. Mountain. The groom is the
son of Mrs. Ruth Hueston of
Wingham and the late IC. J. Hues -
ton.
Traditional and contemporary
wedding music was supplied by
James Hill who accompanied the
soloist, Mrs. Anita Ruthig who
sang "The Lord Is My Shepherd"
and "The Wedding Song".
Mrs. Marilyn Robinson, sister
of the bride, was matron of honor
and bridesmaids were Marylin
Brown of Brantford, and Mrs.
Sandy Dike of Aurora, both
friends of the bride, and the
groon f's sister, Heather I ueston h

William A. Higgins was best
man and guests were ushered by
David Mountain, brother of the
bride, of St. Marys, John Robin-
son, brother-inaaw of the bride,
also of St. Marys, and Bruce
Bates of Monkton, friend' of the
groom.
Following the ceremony a re-
ception was held at Kirkton-
Woodham Community Centre,
attended by guests from Windsor,
London, Toronto, St. Joseph's Is-
land, Aurora, Goderich, Listowel,
Wingham, Belmore; Wroxeter,
Gorrie, Stratford, Ripley and
Brantford.

Open house was held on Sun-
day, Sept. 8, in the . Fordwich
United Church from 2-5 p.m. in
honor of Mr. and Mrs. Austin
Stinson's • 50th wedding an-
niversary.
They were married Sept. 10th,
1924 at the t home • of ;bride's.

east of Forwich by the Rev.
George Barnard of the Fordwich
Methodist Church. Their at-
tendants were Mrs. John (Ruth)
Connell sister of the groom and
Emerson Downey, brother of the
bride.•
They farmed on the 6th con. of
Minto for 42 years before moving
to Fordwich in 1966.
They had a family of five.
Arnold was killed in England in
1945; Mrs. 'George (Pauline)
Richards of London; Bill of Cal-
gary; Mrs. Ken (Maxine) Heise
of Drew; and Laverne of Minto.
Caskanette-Darling vows exchanged
. St. Anne's Roman Catholic
Church, Riversdale, was the
scene of a pretty summer wed-
ding on Saturday, August 24, at
five o'clock, when Katherine
Joyce Darling, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. James R. Darling of RR
1, Clifford, and Dale Michael
Caskanette of RR 3, Walkerton,
were united in marriage. Parents
of the groom are Mr. and Mrs.
Wilbur Caskanette of the same
address.
Rev. Fred Dentinger officiated
at the,ceremony which was per-
formed in a setting of mums, zin-
nias and snapdragons. Bill Zett-
leir - provided organ music.

Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a gown of
.white sheer crystalette fashioned
on princess lines with mandarin
neckline, long fitted sleeves and
long chapel train. A Juliet capu-
let headpiece held her four -tiered
veil of pure silk illusion and she
carried a bouquet of red roses
and baby's breath.
Mrs. Ethel Morrison of Listo-
wel was her sister's matron of
honor. Bridesmaids were Miss
Gail Renwick of Clifford and Miss
Lauranne Sanderson of Gorrie.
Both are friends of the bride.
They wore identical gowns of
sheer blue nylon embossed with
velvet dots. The gowns featured
scoop necklines, caplet sleeves
and wide sashes at the waistlines.
They carried white and blue
daisies.
Philip Caskanette of RR 3,
Walkerton, was his brother's best
man and guests were ushered by
brothers of the bridal couple,
Rene Caskanette of RR 3,
Walkerton, and Robert Darling of
RR 1, Clifford.
Guests from Linwood, Listo-
wel, London, Kitchener and
▪ Florida attended the reception
which was held in the Teeswater
Arena. The bride's mother wore a
floor -length gown of pale pink
nylon with embossed rosebuds.
An orchid corsage completed her
ensemble. The groom's mother
wilt unable to be present because
of illness.
For ' travelling to the East
Coast, the bride wore a navy and
white crimplene dress, white
accessories and an orchid cor-
sage. On their return they will
reside at Walkerton.
Honored guests at the wedding
were the bride's maternal grand-
parents, Mr. and Mrs. °Prager
Haugh of Bluevale; and the
groom's grandparents, Mr. and
Mme. Simon f+'riedman of Linwood
and Mini, Ida Caskanette of RR 3,
Walkerton.

There are thirteen grandchild-
ren.
They are both active members
of the Fordwich United Church.
Austin was leader of the choir for
30 years and still sings in the
choir. They are both members of
the rriston r d District Horti-
cultUrtil ' ciety. ,They have a
`large gar en of vegetables and
flowers and Mrs. Stinson keeps
busy with her hobby leatheework
and other hobbies.
Those attending came from
Calgary, Pittsburgh, Windsor,
Alliston, Toronto, Hamilton,
Woodstock, Atwood, Listowel,
Palmerston, Harriston, Fergus,
Arthur, Orton, Baden; Wingham,
Meaford, Gorrie, Georgetown,
Oshawa' and surrounding area.
Their son Laverne was unable
to be present as he is confined to
bed with the "mumps" and
Grace is in Peterborough Hos-
pital with a broken hip and . Ruth
(their bridesmaid of 50 years
ago) is in Palmerston Hospital.
A buffet supper was served
after open house by the family to
around 65 guests.
Congratulations were received
from The Prime Minister of Can-
ada and William Davis for On-
tario.
Over 200 attended the Open

MPP; John Root MPP and Mrs.
Root; Perrin Beatty, MP and
Mrs. Beatty; Marvin Howe, Ex.
MP and Mrs. Howe.
Mrs, Gershom Johnston and
George Grigg were Saturday
visitors with Miss Iva Carr and
brothers, Edgar and Harvey Of
Dungannon. Miss Carr accom-
panied Mrs. Johnston and. Mr.
Grigg to visit Mr. and Mrs.
Carman Hayden.
