travelled to Artbm, and came un
to the short enci of the 84 score.
Arthur opened a 3-0 lead in the
first period, a lead that won the
game, but in the second period
Steve McLean let loose with three
goals •for Wingham. Scott
McGregor assisted on the first
goal which came at the 1:58 point
of the second period but from
then on Steve did it all by himself.
Arthur, however, matched the
visitors goal for goal in the
second period and the score stood
at 6-3 at the end of the period.
In the third period Wingham
Scored two more markers. Scott
McGregor did the honors on the
first goal of the period for
Wingham at the 611 point. Steve
McLean picked up the assist.
Then at the 14:31 markt Peter
Goodall beat the goalie with the. •
help of Steve McLean, to finish the
Wring for Wingham. But Arthur
again kept pace with the
Wingham lads with two PEIIS of
their own in the final frame.
Again the final score?, Wingham 5,
Arthur 8.

as well at least two contests in
the Third Annual Wellesle
Queen's Hotel Slow Pitch In-
vitational Tournament this
weekend in Weilesley.
In regular VVOAA schedtded
league games, Brophy's host
Shakespeare at 9 p.m. Wed-
nesday at the local park and then
travel to Sebringville for a
Sunday night matchup, also at 9.
Brophy Manager Ed Bauer
reports his club has accepted an
invitation to the Queen's Hotel
Tourney in Wellesley against
Moorefield. If Brophy's win the
tourney opener, they play again
Saturday at 2 p.rn. If they lose
against Moorefield, they enter
consolation play, also on
Saturday but at 12:30 p.m.
The Brophy Bros. team has
lined up. a tentative exhibition
game against the CKNX Try
Hards at the Wingham ball park
Sunday, July 28 at 9 p.m. with the
proceeds from a silver collection
to be donated to a worthy local
charitable organization. Final
