Gail Holloway, presently of
Belgrave, are responsible for
collecting, recording and
assessing water samples from
various selected points within the
watershed. Miss Hollowell is a

The Gorrie-Wroxeter Canadian
Girls in Training Mother: and
Daughter banquet was held in the
Gorrie United Church on June 3..
After a delicious banquet,
Heather Neilson thanked the
ladies. The toast tothe church
was given by Carolynne McMil-
lad with Rev. Sach replying, Julie
Fairies toasted the C.G.I.T. with
the girls replying with their
per.
Karen Currah gave the toast to
the mothers with Mrs. Curran re-
plying and Mrs. Fairies gave a
toast to the graduates, with Cindy
Brown replying.
Mrs. Fairies handed out five
perfect .attendance awards and
then introduced the speaker, a
girl from Stouffville, Mrs. Grant
Wells. :Her topic' was "The
Needle".
She told the girls always to be
tall and straight with one eye and
one purpose in mind. Jan Fairle1
thanked her.
Mrs. Fairies then conducted
the graduation service and gave
the four graduates, Karen
Currah, Carolynne McMillan,
Cindy Brown and Julie Fairies,
their graduation pins, certifi-
cates and scrap books which she
had made for each one' of them.
The evening closed with taps.

were in .Toronto on Wednesday
and had lunch with Miss Betty
Wylie. They all then went to the
retirement party for Miss Peggy
White at Williamson Road
School.
The piano pupils of Mrs. Art '
Gibson presented an enjoyable
musical, program' for their
parents and friends on .Sunday at
the Wroxeter United Church
Sunda School at 2:30. Those

some WI members of Lakelet,
Gonne and Wroxeter in attend-
ance.
The first stop was at Mrs. Clar-
ence Shoemaker's Doll. House
at Guelph. Some 1;000 dolls were
on display. The members then
journeyed on' to the Adelaide
Hoodless Home at St. George.
This home is rebored to the
original style and is the birth-
place of the founder of' the WI:
A planned salad dinner was
enjoyed by all.
The next stopping place was
the Erland Lee Home at Stoney
Creek where the constitution for
the WI was signed and just, last
year became the WI's Ontario
project.
Members also stopped a short
time at the Botanical Gardens at
Hamilton and then journ yed on
to the Cedar Rail al- Guelph
where everyone enjoyed dinner
before returning home. Allan
Nicholson of Bluevale was £he
bus driver and Mrs. John
Freeman and Mrs. Elmer Hard-
ing, public relations officers, con-
vened the trip.

ON JUNE 17 the Wingham Town Police oversaw a bicycle
rodeo at the Wingham Arena. Shelley Jones was the first
rider to try the course which included riding figure 8's,
testing at a miniature intersection and a bike inspection.
