bride and Miss Jane Turple,
Milford, N.S., cousin of the
groom, wore gowns of ivory
pongee print with pink flowers
and carried baskets of pink
carnations, shasta daisies and
baby's breath. Their floor-lengtii
gowns were fashioned alike, on
princess lines with mandarin
collars and long tapered sleeves.
Each wore a single silk rose in
her hair.
The little flower girl, Miss Peta
Phillips, Willowdale, was dressed
similarly to the bridesmaids in a
floor -length gown of ivory pongee
print with yellow • flowers. She
carried a basket of pink, blue and
yellow carnations and baby's
breath.
The groom was attended by
David Robb, Willowdale, brother
of the bride, as best man. The
ushers were. Andrew Lynch,
Halifax, N.S. ; Kenneth Lowry,
Port Credit, friends of the groom
and Jeffrey Kolton, Watertown,
N.Y., cousin of the bride. They
wore ivory jackets with brown
lapels, ivo ruffled shirts and
brown pants
Before the beer of Ernest
Taylor of Willowdale, sang "0
Promise Me"; during the
ceremony,. "The Lord's Prayer"
and during the signing of the
register, "The Wedding Song''.
A reception and dance was held
at the Sleepy Hollow Golf and
Country Club, Stouffville. The
bride's mother received guests
wearing a pale green floor -length
French crepe coat dress trimmed
with seed pearls and a white
orchid corsage. She was assisted
by the groom's mother who wore
a white organza sheer tailored
dress with tangerine satin stripes
and a white orchid corsage.
After the reception and dance
the young couple left amid • a
shower of good wishes and con-
fetti for their honeymoon in
Eastern Ontario. They will reside

marriage Friday, June 7, at 7:30
p.m. in the Salvation Army
Citadel, Wingham. Mrs.
Colquhoun is the former Patricia
Amelia Wharton, daughter of Mr.
and,,: ; ss „. boinas Wharton,
Vt_ alm. Parents of the groom
are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Colquhoun
of Mitchell.
Captain J. Cameron officiated
at the ceremony and organist
Mrs. Cameron provided wedding
music which included "0 Perfect
Love" and "Wedding Prayer".
Baskets of irises, peonies and
spirea . adorned the church I
sanctuary for the occasion.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride wore a floor -
length, long-sleeved gown of satin
brocade embossed with lily of the
valley, with V -neckline trimmed
in yellow lace. A headpiece of lily
of the valley held her long nylon
illusion veil which fell into a train
and she carried a bouquet of
yellow roses, white daisies and
lily -of -the -valley.
Miss Linda Wharton of London
chose a floor -length goWn of pale
blue chiffon with lace jacket, in
her role as maid of honor. She
carried a bouquet of yellow roses
and white carnations.
John Parsons of Stratford was
groomsman and guests were
ushered by Barry Colquhoun of
Stratford and Richard Wharton
of Ayton.
A reception followed at the
Wingham Legion Hall where the
head table was decorated ° with
the yellow and white bridal
bouquets and centered with a
wedding. cake,trimmed with
dainty yellow rses and white
doves.
The bride's mother wore a
floor -length dress featuring a
navy blue crimpoline skirt and
white top with navy coin dots. A
corsage of pink carnations
completed her ensemble. The
groom's mother those a dress of
turquoise chiffon with long lace
sleeves.

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Colson of
Listowel visited Sunday with Mr.
and Mrs. Eugene Metzger and
family.
Visiting on the weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Norman Harper

Mrs. Ervin Reidt was hostess
for a bridal shower held Sunday
afternoon in the Clifford Com-
munity Hall, in honor of Miss
Dianne Wylie, bride -elect.

Debra Louise Lambkins dangly,

kin of RR 1, Foxdwich, was
married to James Melvin France
of Ripley, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Alvin France of Atwood. on June
21 in a double -ring ceremony at
the Atwood Presbyterian Church.
The church was decorated with
white candelabra and pink mums
as Rev. Dennis Clarke officiated
and Miss. Linda Martin of Ford-
wich played the organ. .
The bride wore a white crepe
old-fashioned gown with long
sleeves and long flowing train
polyester satin, featuring short
puffed sleeves with lace trim.
They carried bouquets of white
shasta mums.
Flower girl was Miss Lori
Wood of Palmerston, cousin of
the. bride.
The best ,man was Robert Bell
of Clinton, brother-in-law of the
groom, and ushering guests were
Ken Marks, brother of the groom,
and the bride's brother-in-law,
Wayne Wesley of Harriston. The
male attendants wore tuxedos
consisting of white jackets
trimmed with black and black
trousers. They wore white shirts
trimmed with mauve frills and
mauve carnation boutonnieres.
Kevin Coutts of Mount Forest
was ring bearer.
The mother of the groom wore
a floor-lengthdress of spring
green polyester crepe with long
gathered sleeves, covered but-
tons and frilled neckline. Her
corsage was white carnations.
The reception was held in the
Brussels Legion Hall where a
smorgasbord dinner was served.
Guests attended from St. Marys,
London, Harriston, Palmerston,
Mount Forest, Moorefield,
Wingham, Newmarket, Brussels,

Gordon Coulter, groom's cousin.
The reception was held at the
Elma Memorial Community
Centre do Atwood.
The groom who is employed by
Ontario Hydro as a steam fitter
at Douglas point, took his bride
on a trip to northern Ontario and J`
the East Coast.
The couple will reside at Rip-
ley.
