Pacing Wingham at the plate was Frank Heard with four hits in five trips. Gary Storey and Des Brophy had three hits while Bob Brandon, George'Foulton, Ed Deichert and Dick Eskerod had two safeties each. Eskerod belted a three -run home contributing to an it -run barrage in the fifth inning. Completing Wingham's ten -man lineup was Jim Bain, who along with Welwood and Foxton, collected a hit each. For Monkton, B. McEwen and D. McEwen had two hits each and J. Ward, V. Ward, H. Hinz and'D Rathwell rapped singles. Brodhagen 31 - Wingham 5 Sunday' chiller in Brodhagen saw the s plate four runs in the second and five more in the third inning to take a com- manding 9-1 lead 'over Brophy's. The Brodhagen club added three more in the fourth; three in the fifth, four in the sixth, nine in the seventh and three in the eighth to run up their 31 -run total. Pacing the Beavers was Don McClure with five hits, including a homerun, in seven trips to the plate. Allan Siemon, Tom Turner, and -EaPI Rock had four hits each for the Beavers while Ross An- derson pitched a chintzy eleven - hitter at the Brophy Bros. bat- ters. Welwood and Gary Story split pitching duties for Wingham giving up a total of 31 safeties. Combined with a number of errors by Brophy's, the Brodhag- en hitters were on base for a good portion of the night, and scored in every inning except the first. Dick Eskerod had three hits for Wingham including a two -run triple while Welwood and George Foulon punched out two hits each. Manager Ed Bauer, Des Brophy, Ed Deichert and Earl Young connected for singles to account for Wingham's 11 -hit total. Bob and Bruce Foxton and Bob Brandon completed Wingham's lineup. Brophy Bros.
