Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Lynn and

guests with Mrs. Earl Itidley.
Mrs. Earl Moore and Mrs.
Ernie D'Arcey spent Thursday in
Hanover.
Mrs. Barry D'Arcey, Mrs.
Elmer Miller and Mrs. Andy
Miller were Kitchener visitors on
Monday.
Best wishes to Mr. and Mrs.
James Vittie who celebrated
their 55th wedding anniversary
on January 15.
Eleanor Gibson, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Gibson was
taken to Listowel Memorial Hos-
pital Saturday when in some
mannerA cup of hot water spilled
on her arm, resulting in quite a
bad burn.
Mr. and Mrs. Les Loughran at-
tended the funeral in Listowel
last week of the former's uncle,
Earl Loughran.

The roll call was ansyyered by a
stamped get well card Mrs. E
Strong reported on the card fund
for the year. Mrs. W. Hargrave
read a thank you letter from Mrs.
G. Anderson of Exeter who had
been in the hospital. Mrs. W.
Sothern read a letter from Paul
Rice who now 'has returned from
Lesato and also ohe from' Andree
Castonguay who has taken
charge of Paul's work there. Mr.
Rice told of the progress made by
Annatisia, the little girl whom the
ACW is helping to support.
A paper was read by Mrs. J. W.
Daunt. Plans are being made for
the group to visit and have a
social hour with the patients at
the Village Nursing Home in
March.

The study was given by Mrs. W.
Hargrave and also a humorous
poem. A card was signed by the
members to be sent to Mra. E.
Hargrave, a former member who
is at present in Listowel Hospital.
The president asked that all Join
hands and the pronouncing of the
benediction brought the meeting
to a close.
Refreshments were served by
Miss Ruth Johnston and Mrs. R.
Simmons.
Lakelet
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Metzger
and family visited with Mr. and
Mrs. Maurice Dick in Palmer-
ston.
Clifford district hockey is off td
a good start. Last Thursday
Lakelet and Clifford played to a 4-
4 tie, while Sunday, Lakelet
downed Fordwich 5-4.
