FINL' AY: In loving memory of a
dear father, Wm. J. Finlay of
Gorrie (formerly of Wingham)
Who passed away January 14,
1968.
The heavenlygates were opened,
Five years ago today,
With goodbyes left unspoken,
You gently slipped away.
You couldn't say goodbye to us,
Perhaps it's just as well,
We never could have said good-
bye,
To one we loved so well,
So you who have a father,
Cherish him with care;
For you never know the heart-
ache,
Till you see his empty chair.
—Ever remembered by his son
Charlie of London.
