representing New Horizons for
Retired Canadians and James
Ward,. Wingham's recreation
director. were guest speakers at
the Wroxeter Senior Citizens'
meeting held in _the community
Mrs. Harvey Simmons presid-
ed and welcomed all present,
including members from the hall
board and village trustees. The
minutes of the first meeting and
executive meeting were read by
Secretary Mo. William ,Wright.
David Neilson, of Gorrie, presi-
dent of the Howick Recreational
Committee, introoluced
representativea from his com-
mittee and HoWick Council. Com-
mittee Secretary Paul Statia was
also in attendance.
Bruce Chambers spoke on be-
half of the hall board and trus-
tees, saying they wished to co-
operate in getting the group
started and. having a drop -4
centre for those wishing to play
cards during the day. Mem-
bership fees were decided upon.
Cookies, tea and .coffee were
served by the executive and pro-
gram committee. The program
committee for the next meeting
comprises Mrs. Harvey Coup -
land, Mrs. Lil Gallaher, L. Van
Velsor and Rev. Jennings. The
next meeting is on December 10
and everyone in the community is
welcome to join the newly -form-
ed group.
