the weekend with Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Gillespie of Sarnia. Mrs.
Garfet, Farrier was also visiting
with her daughter, Mrs. Fred
Davis, Mr. Davis and Dana of
Windsor.
Last weekend Mr. and Mrs.
John Jamieson took Frank
Jamieson back to Kingston.
Frank, who is suffering from a
broken leg, does not expect to be
home till Christmas. His friends
here wish him a speedy recovery.
Little Teddy Fisher . of Don
Mills spent the weekend with his
cousins, Bill and Gregory Fisher.
Whitechurch YPS held a social
evening on Saturday at the home
of Judy Jamieson. Sixteen en-
joyed erokinole, euchre and other
games. Judy served refresh-
ments.
On Sunday last Mr. and Mrs.
Joe Tiffin, Joan and Shirley at-
tended the general meeting of 418
Stratford Musicians at Victorian
Inn. The meeting was in the af-
ternoon followed by a smorgas-
bord dinner and entertainment,
Miss Joan Tiff is on a week's
holidays from the Teeswater
Bank ; of Montreal.
Mr. and Mrs. Dalton Noels of
Crediton spent the weekend with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elgin
Sleightholm and family.
Visitors from Thursday to Sun-
day with Mr. and Mrs. Carl
McCletnaghan and Mr. and Mrs.
Ben McClanaghan were Mr. and
Mrs. Douglas Baird, Leann,
Shelley and Angela of Cayuga. On

Adventure Week

Wayne Welch of Scripture
Union was the guest speaker at
the morning worship service in
St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church on Sunday. Mr. Welch is
in town all week, conducting an
Adventure Week for the young
people. He is holding sessions for
children every afternoon after
school, on Wednesday evening a
Teen Night was held at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Camp-
bell, and on Friday evening a
Family Night will be held at 7
p.m.
During the Sunday morning
service, Mr. and Mrs. John
Ostrom sang, a duet, "Nailed to
the Cross". Mrs. Don Robertson
presided at the organ console.

Karen Johnston, age 10, RR 2,
Bluevale fell at school and frac-
tured her left elbow. She was
treated and later released.
On Wednesday; November 7,
Rose Marie Stadelman, age 1, RR
2; Blyth, was admitted to hospital
with first degree burns to her
face, neck and armwhen she
pulled the tea kettle over on her:
Her condition is listed as satis-
factory.
Graham Allan, RR 5, Lucknow,
received painful injuries to his
right second finger on Monday
when he caught it in a grain
auger. He was treated and rel-
eased.
Also on Monday, Randy Netter -
field, age 11, Wingham, lacerated
his right second finger playing
hockey at the Wingham arena.

Three Fordwich residents re-
main in Listowel Memorial Hos
pital this week as a result of two,
separate accidents investigated
by the Listowel detachment of the
OPP. •
Arnold Allan, 23, of RR 1 Ford-
wich, is in satisfactory condition
with fractures and other injuries
following a two veluiclecollision
on Perth County Road 4, ne mile .'
west of Highway 23, on OV, 7 at'''

lin of Brussels. A ,passenger in
Mr. Allan's car, Gary `-':Shu-
macher, 17, of 'Fordwich,receiv-
ed minor injuries and was re-
leased from hospital the day ^ Jot -
lowing the accident. Mr. Jacklin
also received minor injuries.
Damage to the dump truck was
estimated at $6,000 and to the car,
$1,800. Charges are pending.
A Fordwich couple remain in
hospital in satisfactory condition
following another two -car col-
lision on Perth County Road 4,
just east of Perth Cty: Rd. 1 on
Nov. 10 at 7:55 p.m. '
Harold Doig of Fordwich, 75,
driving a 1968 Rambler, collided
with a 1962 Chev driven by Geof-
frey De Mynn of Weston.
Mr. De Mynn, 18, received cuts
and bruises. Mr. Doig received
fractures and his wife Edna Doig,
who was a passenger in her bus

band's car received cuts and
bruises. Damage was estimated
at $3,000. Charges are pending.
