Sunday Tournament July 15 r7 Great, just great. That's the only way to describe last Sun,, day's tournament. The weather was ideal, the food was out ofthis world, .and the companionship was fantastic. All told, 45 golfers (count "em, 45) were on hand for the day, with _quite a few new- comers taking part. The golf was quite keen, with four players coming in with gross scores under the 40 Mark. Al Carter took top prize for the day witha net of 53, followed r closely by Ed Deer with a net of 34. lolly Kaufman didn't need an an adding machine to tally his round. Roily ended up with.a net of s5, Dr. Wilkins captured fourth spot (and a prize, t might add). with a net of 36. then prize withers for the da y were Dr. Crawford (13th) and Ted Surridge (39th). The most ' honest golfer 'award went to Bill Kendrick. While it'anet very nice to mention what anyone shot to win this dubious honor, I'm going to do it anyway. Bill carded a net of 69 and,, a gross ,score of k n. Several birdies during. the tournament;, with Gord, Walter And' Doc Wilkins cardingtwo* on number five and number two re- spectively, while Ed. Deer un- corked a couple of dandies on number four;fot a birdie four. Also watched a couple'` of in- teresting ,grudge matches.
