Had to miss the men's tourna-
ment last Wednesday night.
Understand they had a pretty
good time, despite the rather
poor turnout. Top honor for the
nine-holer went to Omar Hasel-
grove, with a net score of 42. Sec-
ond place went to Harvey Fisher,
who carded a 43, while Ray Wal-
ker grabbed off third place with a
46. Hear that our friendly trea-
surer, Rick Tysick had better
luck at the barbecue than on the
greens.
Next week's chefs will be the
winners of the tournament, so
should be interesting to see what,
they can cook up besides golfball
stew.
Would like to take this opportu-
nity of saying welcome to a new-
comer to the Wingham G & C.
Understand that Ian Moreland
spent an enjoyable evening yarn-
ing with the boys after the
'tournament. Hope to meet you
this week, Ian. '
Social Activities
Thehrst club social will be held
this Saturday night and accord-
ing to the conveners, the theme
will be Indian Night. Price for the
evening is $1.50 per head, with a
great night lined up. If you're
planning to go, better get your
tickets before you have to
"scalp" them.
John Jamieson is still taking
reservations for the first two -ball
tournament, slated for June 23.
Understand the golf, dinner and
dance will onlyost twelve bucks
per couple. Better hurry, as these
tournaments ' are : really great
entertainthent.
Pub night is still a regular fea
ture at the clubhouse every Fri-
day night, with Hap Swatridge
featured on the organ for sing-
songs,, etc. Why 'not Op out this
Friday night for a fee". . (songs,
that is). See you at the tee.
