tion for the Mentally Retarded
was held Monday, night at the
Wingham . Public School with
Jack : Reavie in the chair." '
Features of the meeting were
the presentation of the film of the
1971 Olympic meet for,the re-
tarded at Toronto, in which mem-
bers of the..,Golden; Circle School
distinguished themselves,. and
the attendance of a representa-
tive group° of Wingham Boy
Scouts.

William Stephenson spoke of
the need for new members and
stressed that any parents would
be welcome and..mit only those
who had Children enrolled in the
school. -
He told of the annual con-
ference of the Ontario Associa-
tion for they Mentally Retarded
May 9 to 13 at the University of
Waterloo, pointing out that those
interested could attend on a daily
basis or for the complete session.
In the latter case enrollment
would include meals and accom-
modation.

Meeting of Belgrave I 4,4f Club
was held on April 9 at the arena.
Minutes were read by. Joan
Leishman. The, roll call was an-
swered by everyone. ,The girls
discussed their covers. For
Achievement Day Brenda Neth-
ery will be' commentator and
Carol. Walker, Joan Leishman
and Barbara Moore are to set up
` the exhibit.
Mrs.- Richard Moore, leader,
demonstrated how to put in a
zipper and elastic for shorts,
pants, etc. Mrs. Clarke Johnston
discussed and demonstrated how
to sew buttons. Everyone was
present.

on: Saturday, March 17, at.8 p.m.

abra, and mixed floral bouquets
flanked. the altar. s
Harold Swatridge provided
music on the organ, playing
• ``'Amazing Grace" as the proces-
sional and "Song of Joy" as the
recessional. Miss Connie Mann u
sang "The Wedding Song".

Cross of Crane Lake, Minnesota,
and Miss Jeannette McDonald of
Wingham. They were ' gowned
alike in ankle length gowns of
candy pink polyester satin.
Double tiers of lace.accented the
scoop necklines, wristlines ,and
hemlines of the dresses They
carried nosegays of mixed
flowers.
Douglas J. Cameron of Simcoe
was groomsman and guests were
shered by Brad Cross of Crane
Lake, Minn., and James Elliott of
ucknow.
For the reception which fol-
owed at the Wingham Golf and
Country Club, the bride's mother
hose a floor -length goyvn of mint
reen, fortrel knit accented with
ne gold braid and small gold
buttons. A corsage of talisman
roses completed her ensemble
The groom's mother chose a
floor -length coat over a flowered
trevira gown. Her corsage of blue
and mauve repeated the colors
which predominated in her dress
Honored guests at the wedding
were the bride's grandmother,
Mrs. Myrtle Clem mens of Kenora
and the groom's grandmother,
Mrs. Annie McDonald of Simcoe.
Mr. and Mrs. McDonald are re-
siding at RR 2, Wingham.
Parents of the bride are . L
and Mrs.. Charles M. Haye of
Kenora: The groom is the so, of
Mr. and Mrs. W. Lorne McDonald
of Wingham. Mr. Mayes gave his c
daughter in marriage.

The bridal- gown was floor -
length and d of white moire. The
empire waistline was em-
phasized by a pink satin sash tied
in a soft bow at the back. Moire
ruffles accented the neckline,
Wristline, hemline and side front
of the gown, creating a wrapped
skirt effect. She carried a nose-
gay of pink Sweetheart roses and
stephanotis_
Miss Leanne Hayes of Kenora
was her sister's maid of honor
and bridesmaids were sisters of Mr
