e District Hospital on Wednesday,
8• April 4, following a lengthy ill-
ness. She was in her 80th year.

• was the former Christina Ethel
Elliott, a daughter of the late
a James Elliott and Jane Louttit.
Y She and her husband retired, in
1958 and he predeceased her in
1962.
° Mrs. Walters was a member of
St. Andrew's Presbyterian
Church, Wingham.
Left to mourn her passing are
four daughters, Mrs. Ross
t (Mabel) MacRae of RR 2, Tees -
water, Mrs. Peter (Dorothy) Rot-
tei u of Amberley,,a Mrs. A. B.
(Marian) Buchanan of London
and Mrs. Robert (Helen) Mc-
itague of RR 2, Wingham ; and
two sans, John Walters of Tees -
water and Wilfrid Walters of Cul-
ross Township. Also surviving
are 18 grandchildren ; five great-
grandchildren; one sister, Mrs.
Mary MacTavish of Huronview;
and two brothers, Albert Elliott
of Regina, Saskatchewan, and
James Elliott of BlUevale. She
was predeceased by one brother,
Gordon Elliott.
The late Mrs. Walters rested at
the > R. A. Currie and Son Funeral
Rome, Wingham, until Friday
when Rev. R. H. Armstrong con-
ducted service at 2 p.m. Inter-
cetit followed in Wingham
Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons,
Alan MacRae, Len Walters, 'Ted
llotteau, Brad Rotteau, Robert
Buchanan and Ronald McKague.
Murray McKague and Stephen
Waiters, also 'grandsons, carried
floral tributes.

NIFTY 'NITS
The third meeting of the Lake -
let 14-11 Club was held on April
2nd at the home of Ellen Murray.
All answered the roll call which
was showing your selected fabric
and pattern. The minutes were
read and adopted by Judith Anne
Murray.
Mrs. Murray and Mrs. Hall-
man checked each member's
samples of knit fabric for meet-
ing two and also helped fill in
handout notes. The discussion
was on seam finishes and fitting.
The demonstration by Mrs.
Murray was stretch sewing tech-
niques. The rest of the meeting
was taken up with each member
continuing on her garment with
the help of the leaders.
